I bought the pads on BHPhotoVideo:

Here are the Beyer: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/313962-REG/Beyerdynamic_942704_Padded_Earcushions_for_DT250_DT280.html

You can also order it from Amazon.

Alright, thanks. Which one do you recommend of those two? Also I'd really like to know if the isolation and leakage is the same.

Sounds like there's some issue with your pair. I have been using mine on BT mode for the past 10 days. I never had such issues when pairing it with my Macbook / iphone / ipad.

I bought the Auray because I wanted the grill cover which the Beyer do not have.
As far as isolation/leakage, I find the velour suprior. If you read about the velour pads in regards to the 7506, you will see that most confirm that they do isolate better than the OEM pads.

Just noticed that B&H's shipping fee to Sweden is $50 and amazon won't even ship them to Sweden.

Is there any other way to get a hold of them?

Appreciate the help alot.

Note that changing the earpads will change the overall sound, let alone to a totally different material. I don't get where people get velour having best isolation from, any plather/leather pad fitted properly will seal better.

I agree that it changes the sound sig, but you'll be hard pressed to find someone who was not pleased with the replacement of the pads on the 7506. While I can't give any scientific data about the isolation of the velour pads, I can only suggest that the pads work on the 1RBT, and that I am very pleased with them, and the isolation. If you're pleased with the exiciting pads, than by all means keep using them. I on the other hand, found the OEM ones uncofortable, and pleather pads from the 7506 where far more comfortable, and I find the Velour pads even more comfortable, and I enjoy the sound signature very much. I can't see myself EVER going back to the original ones.

Again, this is my own personal and subjective opinion. I'd love to hear what other think, but I couldn't find anyone that replaced the pads yet.

Tried this yesterday at the local Sony store. Found it with ample bass, nice and tight, packs quite a punch but  a bit less than my HD25. Midrange was forward and clear although I found the upper mids with short bursts of sibilance on some songs. 1r sounds "ss" while the HD25 has "ssssssssssss," something like that. Treble has there, has enough sparkle to please me. I liked what I heard. Maybe an upgrade to my HD25 but that short bursts of sibilance were a little bit of a turn off to me. Weird. But maybe that test unit was not yet burned in, if that exists. I think it was not used and not getting any attention as it was placed at the far corner of the store and I had to ask for the table to be able to test it. Hmmm.

Also, a bit OT, for those who bought from accessory jack, does it deliver straight to your home or do I have to pick it up at the local post office? Customs here in my country sucks and buying a $250 headphone might be a target for overtaxation. Thanks!

Literally the only thing I didn't like about these phones is that 250hz is overpowering at times, so I dropped it by 3db and it seems to sound more balanced. If anyone has eq settings theyd like to share I'm interested

I love my mids and this doesn't bother me too much although it can be a bit distracting in "some" songs. I've noticed it to be more apparent in recent pop music but I'm alright because I listen to heavy tunes most of the time.

I tweak my EQ just a little in the sub bass region: 'bout 5db at 30hz. The rest are flat...

I find them more balanced if I use the "jazz" EQ setting when using my ipod nano 5g. Too bad I can't find a way to create a new eq setting in itunes and transfer it to my ipod :frowning2:

They only thing now I dislike about them is that their mids still sound a bit full/colored to my ears, making some instruments and voices sound strong when listening a bit louder than normal volumes.

maybe it's just my ears or the music I'm listening to but I haven't heard a difference between 31hz at 0db and at 12db

Your ipod doesnt have built in eq? Strange, my old nw-hd5 has it. The jazz setting for my X-Fi raises 250hz by 4db...

No,it doesn't have this option. And the problem is,that although I can make an EQ preset in itunes,I can't transfer it to ipod...I also tried to modify an already existing preset eq in itunes, saving it with the same name, and it doesn't work too...

I looked at the jazz preset and it does emphasize 250 hz a bit,but it reduces from 500 to 2khz so I guess there are the frequensies that sound strong to my ears with these headphones, that's why they sound more balanced to me with this setting.
Tbh this jazz setting is not that perfect for me either, that's why I would like to have an option to create an EQ setting.
Actually it would be nice to have the ability to create different eq settings for different headphones,so I guess my next portable player should have this ability.
