Problem is, the lows aren't really the issue with the UE900 --- it's relatively tight with a reasonable amount of boost, and unless someone is insistent upon getting less in the lower-mids/upper-bass, changing out the filter won't really help, and even then, the change would be limited. So, if anything needs changing, it's the mids and highs, and that's what is likely coming out of the tiny little hole.

I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here, though.

EDIT: After looking at the exploded view, they might be using the red filter for the mids/highs? Confused by the choice... blink.gifconfused_face_2.gif

Disregard my last post...

The online Apple store has them in stock now, no more 1-2 month shipping

Well, now is the time to try to use the UE discounts.  If it doesn't work, maybe email CS?

My Triple.Fi 10's internal wire recent got ripped out during a cable replacement, and UE is offering me UE 900's if I send in my Triple.Fi 10's, or I can get a full refund (175~$).  I guess my question for you owners would be is it worth it?  Or should I take my 175$ elsewhere?

I would take the UE900 just because if you don't like them, you can easily sell them for more than $175.

Smart man down here...  I'd take the 900.  See if you like it, it's closer to neutral overall.  If you don't, sell it for more than 175 and buy the TF10 again.  You'll actually make some money this way :)

That is a very good point.  I think I'll grab them.

I find it so odd that Amazon seems to have this massive supply of TF10's, yet Logitech doesn't have any.  I'd really like to stick with my TF10's, but maybe I'll end up liking the UE900's more anyways.

Only downside is the Rep told me they won't have any stock for about a month. :(  Guess I have to live with my Klipsch S4's for now.

You should say the TF10s where the former flagship and you want them replaced with something comparable. The UE600 is not comparable. Make that known to them and see what your options are. Maybe they can make a huge discount for the UE900 at least. If you don't make noise they'll walk all over you. One reason why retailers hate me ;).

they told me it depends how much u bought them for, so since i bought them for 95 bucks i can only get a replacement around that range, which happened to be the UE 600 : /
