So there will be a 40 to 50% off coupon useable? That really may get me to get a pair for sure :). Plus if they are really comparable to W4 and PFE232 then shame on them for not having such sales :P.

We don't know, we'll have to wait and see...  It might just be Logitech being greedy XD

? Not sure I understand the last comment? You mean they may be trying to attract people to the page with the coupon and then not honor it? I don't see how that is gonna get them more customers....

What I mean is that I don't know if the bug is actually a bug or if it's intentional.  If it's intentional, then the code won't work.  If it's a bug, it will work.  There is only one way to find out.

Well if anything keep us posted on it. If I could score one for half off I think I'd at least give it a try and then if it's not for me just sell it at my cost :).

Same.. I would get it if it has good deals.

Assuming from Triple fi 10s, there is a good chance Amazon will have it for a cheaper price.

And, Where can I buy the UE900s right now? Its not even on Amazon, and only place I can find it is the Apple store.

Anyone that can help?

The price of the TF10s is so low because they are 8 years into their life cycle.  So Amazon price won't be that much lower than MSRP (it'll be MSRP at launch actually; I give a 99.99999999...% guarantee for that).

I don't think they're officially released yet... they said Sep. 19 but have yet to release, but for sure this month... and you're right, I believe they're exclusive to the Apple store (correct me if I'm wrong) but they're taking 1-2 months to ship so....

This month for sure

And don't count on these participating in Black Friday sales like others have... just don't get your hopes up because it's highly unlikely, unfortunately :(

Is it really true that a rapid drop in impedance for TF10 after 1khz from 60ohm to 20-30 ohm could lead to distortion if the output current is not adequate (I think that's what the Chinese article is claiming)?

It drops to under 10Ohms, sure sounds like a plausible problem.

In other news, I just want to share a funny tidbit from the Chinese UE900 unboxing page posted here a while ago

http://kenshin.hk/2012/09/14/logitech-ue-900-%E9%96%8B%E7%AE%B1%E6%96%87%EF%BC%8C%E6%97%97%E8%89%A6%E7%B4%9A%E5%9B%9B%E5%96%AE%E5%85%83%E8%80%B3%E6%A9%9F%E5%9E%8B%E6%A0%BC%E7%99%BB%E5%A0%B4/

In the third last paragraph

"至於音質,新耳機落地初步感覺音場非常廣闊,立體感能和Beats耳機加HTC One X Beats Audio匹敵,層次感極佳 ,提供強大的樂器分辨力,雙低音單元營造出沒浮誇添加,實在又有推動耳膜澎湃感的低音,反而人聲暫時未見有驚喜表現,也許用上一個月後煲上過百小時再看看 情況。"

The bolded phrase says "the UE900 can compete HTC One X Beats Audio in soundstaging"

That's just the impedance phase graph, were is the most import FR graph? I think you have to wait for part 2.

Wow it seems to use Red Knowles dampers based on this picture, possible tweaking may be possible!

It's not convenient to remove the damper though, unless you take the housing apart like they do when they reshell the TF10s... I think it's more trouble than it's worth.

It's the metal version it seems, those easily come off and get placed back in (grip the metal side with removal tool and pull away, careful not to go deep into the mesh). Earsonics SM3v2 also have this potential but the SM3s are verified, not 100% sure yet it's the Knowles red for these.

No need to take everything apart if it's a knowles metal damper (or something similar to it)

AFAIK, there's a ridge in the plastic surrounding that holds the dampers in place, so the removal tool won't work. It's the same way with the TF10 plastic housing, except the TF10 has oval openings, making removal even more difficult. The other thing is that the other bore is tiny. You can't even see the damper behind it.

They should be Knowles dampers. Sonion dampers are usually plastic?

The fact that the other bore is too small may be the deal breaker, but that other one still looks manageable to me despite the mentioned.

No unless you put more emphasis on measurements than music. There is so little music energy above 5khz where it hits 15 ohms compared to the bass that it would not distort or clip above 5khz in actual use. In fact, you'll find most talk about the very clear highs of a TF10. Listening to music, you would still run out of voltage/current elswhere first. The impedance graph could cause some frequency alterations with a high output impedance driving it.

Are we already modding things before we hear them?
