They are not as coloured as the UE 900/900s but they are richer in a way and have a great soundstage. No replaceable cable but they are bulletproof. Had mine for over a year now as a daily driver with many hours on them with zero issues. I hope it helps.

Everything is essentially new from the comply tips to the little dispenser of the contact cleaner. I've got them new about a month ago from Amazon as a replacement to my 3+ year old UE900 and I have barely used them. They're the real UE900s. Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Thanks for your replies! Will PM you if I need more info :)

I posted a listing in the For-Sale section with pictures if you want to check it out.

I haven`t heard the X5 or X5ii but I did own the X3ii.
Paired with the U900s - I was sorely disappointed.
The sibilance was incredibly bad. Mids were slightly recessed. Bass was fine but quite boomy.
Not a bad player, just a bad pairing. Sounded a lot better with my HD600s.

In saying that, if the X3ii sounds anything like the X5ii, that should give you a good idea of what to expect.

To give perspective, that's pretty much how the UE900s sound signature is, period. No source fixed that for me (X5ii, Macbook Pro, X3ii, iPod Classic, iPhone 6s, iBasso DX80). All sources were the same since that sound is just a characteristic of the UE900s you can't change without EQ.

Thanks!

Looks like the TF10 is still the better choice between the 2.

Only thing I don't dig with the TF10 is the lack of bass.

Have you considered the KEF M200? For for $70 if you are in the US they are on sale; It's a no brainer. I had the UE900 the 900s and just got the KEF M200 last week. The KEF M200 are superior imo. They have great bass, very smooth sound, no harsh treble at all, huge soundstage and very balanced sound with a hint of fun sound. They are more balanced than the 900 and offer better bass and soundstage without the harsh highs of the 900.

Check it out:

Also, with the UE900/900s keep in mind durability is an issue. I always baby my gear and mind started to fall apart after 6 months of daily use and l had to make a couple of warranty claims. Logitech has zero support and only an escalation to UE Pro got my issues resolved.  Just something to keep in mind.
