Judging from what I'm reading about it, the 900's signature are more in line with the 846 than the UERM. Hope that helped.

Yes, I get upset with mine too when they start requesting One Direction

I very much doubt the U900s would sound anything near to the SE846, my UE900s are bass shy and the SE846 have plenty of it and in excellent quality too. If the UERM are supposed to be reference monitors, I doubt the U900s would sound like them either. Not that the U900s are bad, just a bit bass light.

Totally agree.  The UE900 is fun and all, but the SE846/W60 are at a totally different level.

I wasn't making a direct comparison, I was referring to the sound signature based on what I was reading. He was wondering which IEM's signature the U900 was closer to, nothing more nothing less.

UE900 versus W30:  Almost same in all regards but W30 offers more crispness and clarity and bass.

Wanted to share some impressions : i tried the pinhole blocking and all i can say is WOW! I used a bit wax of a christmas candle and listened for 5 days straight now. Midbass tamed down just a little bit and because of that the mids are are nice step more forward and vocals sound unbelievable clear. Same for highmids and highs both a tad more forward. The result is a flatter sound with even better clarity than my gr07 and havi b3 and i still can't believe it biggrin.gif .
