+1. Especially the sonic differences from the port & driver placement changes. Always wanted the UE900 but recently saw it went from SGD$599 to SGD$429 retail(there wasn't any discount ongoing) so I kinda bought it on impulse..... should have seen the UE 900s earlier...

That is kind of bugging me too... Why isn't Red = RIght.  Everything else in the audio world is Red =  Right.

The ring is on the right earpiece...

I guess the translation on the change chart is wrong.

Except the red ring nothing has changed dramatically but I do wonder how they sound due to the changes of the so called "bass tube"/ bore.

The housing doesn't look transparent anymore either.  As for the bass tube/bore, the UE 900's pinhole bore was very sensitive and caused big fluctuations in bass (or a big drop if covered).  That I can believe making a big difference.

Yes I made a mistake looking at the pic, the red ring is on the right ear piece and NOT left.

Does anyone know why sites like headphone.com or soundearphones don't carry UE, is it due to Logitech buying them a while back? I had a favorable experience with the 900 in the past and would like to try the 900s, but I would like to have the option to return then if they don't fit what I'm looking for. I saw that you can buy them on UE's site, but I don't know anything about their return policy.

The Apple Store used to carry the UE900, which was where I had gotten mine.  In all likelihood they will be carrying the UE900s too, or worse case you can order direct from Logitech.

So it looks to me you have 30-days to return defective products. Otherwise you need to contact Logitech.

They've probably got some old stock leftover that they are using to replace warranty returns like for like. Just looking at the exploded diagram it looks as if the armatures fit into a new black housing. On my original UE900 they just seem to be glued into the shell. Can anyone else confirm this?

That's exactly what the change table have said: 900 = glue; 900s = sonic weld.
