Only problem with UE900 is the cable and the connector. They have the same connector as Shure IEM but the sound cuts often. Not sure the newer UE900 fixes this issue.

I have two UE900 and both having the sound cut problem. frown.gif, going to order W4R soon when price drops more ^^.
Ok great. ..sorry for the late reply..but I want to try these for sure..I read that in the earlier editions the bodies came apart to I think..but I'm glad they fixed the problem..and I had a pair of clear 535's that I list a while ago .but I found the thrm cutting in and out to quit a bit till I cleaned them ..I took them apart quit a few times and maybe that's why the sound would cut in and out. I'm only saying that cause I bought a new pair and I have not taken them apart yet and after about roughly six months of somewhat medium to heavy use the sound has not cut out once..could that be why these cut in and out.? If you pick a cable and just stick with it maybe that won't happen..??

I take UE900 to the gym, I run good 45 mins on a treadmill with max slope and I sweat a lot, then 1 hour intense weight training.

So maybe this is the reason why my connector gets the abuse :)  But with the same routine shure and UTFi10 lasted longer than UE900 cables/connectors.

Some says I should not take the UE900 to the gym but IMO that's what IEM is for :) I cannot imagine wearing UE8 or LCDXC at the gym.

The UE 900, if I'm not mistaken was designed to be a backup stage monitor, it also bears the signature.  The UM2 is a stage monitor.  Stage monitors have to be able to endure excess amounts of sweat because artists tend to sweat...  A LOT, even moreso than most people do when they work out.  Hot lights + lots of movement can generate quite a bit of sweat ;)

what cables are you guys using???

I find the ones that come with it to be the most tangle prone cable I have ever come across for any device.

Fiio cable. It's pretty nice.

If Fiio made a cable that had a remote and mic on it, I might go after it :p  I love my remote and mic, comes in handy ;)

Ya know some people don't like the um2 I dont happen to be one of those people. They are a stage monitor and sound like one. So I think those people who don't like them was something more musical I think. I know that I like them and they have stayed with me longer then any other :-) they may not be as good as the um3 but still very good.

Apparently they are discontinued as said by numerous Logitech representatives. I think they are misinformed because no one knows a clue about their status at Logitech EU. I am awaiting for an official statement from Logitech on whether the UE 900s are discontinued or not and when will they be in stock again in EU.

Stock (audio only) black cable and I have the FiiO RC-SE1. I prefer the UE cable. More pliable, soundwise the two are not far apart for me.

Mike Dias, the industry insider for Logitech in these forums already said that these are not going anywhere. I PM'd him personally.

I received a pair of these beautiful things yesterday and wow I was really impressed with the sound. I really like it a lot actually..these replacement my beloved. W4r and so far I have no regret. :-) I find these more joyable to listen to the my w4r ..which I'm going to miss but these slid in there very nicely wow..the only thing I don't like are cables..they just look like so cheaply made..not to sure what to think about them..I know I have sound cut out already..but I think I can fix that..I hope anyways..but I'm really impressed with the sq :-)

Yeah, I saw your post, however, Logitech EU representatives tell me they're phased out...Do they spread false information on purpose are they just that retarded that they don't know anything besides troubleshooting faulty tech?

I just checked their website the UE 900 still isn't available anywhere in Europe. They are available in the US, Canada and some other regions. I am sure Mike Dias knows his stuff, but I also don't think Logitech reps are clueless in that regard. Maybe a Ver 2 is schedule to pop up soon.
