Bottom line, for $20 plus change these have surprisingly great built quality.  Plus, now I have an option to wear them wire up or wire down.  With wire down the fitment/seal is not as good so there will be less bass content, but with wire up I get a much better fitment with an improved seal in comparison to original cables that had memory wire.  Maybe it just me, but no matter how careful I was with shaping that memory wire, I was never able to get the perfect flush seal with my ear canal.  Now, it's just a regular soft wire that goes perfectly around my ear and I can focus more on earpiece fitment.  At least for me, I found a significant improvement in bass response with this fitment.  Plus, as owner of Galaxy Note 2 - now I have in-line remote/mic with fully functional volume up/down control!!!!!!!

As I mentioned in my review, the only comment I had about these is the choice of red wires where I would prefer to have neutral black color.  Otherwise, these are PERFECT!

Thank you so much for this review.   I found it very helpful.  I also own a Note so I was always on the lookout for a Samsung compatible cable.  Your review put me over the edge and I just bought the same cable you have.  I agree that the red color isn't ideal.  However having no memory wire, and Samsung controls would definitely out weight that small negative.  Thanks again.  Great review

I'm using Equalify www.equalify.me for spotify, and Equalizer on android.

I'm mostly using classical and acoustic presets, but I'll start tinkering with it later today once I have some time.

Also, is it just me or the comply foam tips really that hard to put on the IEMs? I can't push them through the first ridge...

They can be really hard to put on depending on the size and the diameter of the ridge. My pair has two different diameters of that ridge. The right side is easy to put on but the left side can be a biatch. You can use something that's shaped like a cone and slowly expand the comply tip. I used a chopstick.

I can say that they are good performing since I like their sound :)

The most important thing for me is the comfort, especially because I've got also a pair of TF.

I found these new cables to be really good. I won't spend more money for an aftermarket cable only to slightly improve the SQ.

Sure I believe your impression about other cables. ;)

We should just drop this discussion smily_headphones1.gif I think more aftermarket cables would be nice to get a comparison of.

Or perhaps we can pick it up later since I'm expecting FiiO replacement RC-SE1 cables in a near future, and then I will do a comparison ;)

it may seem a little gross, but I put just a touch of saliva on my fingertip and apply it to the rim of my TF10's nozzle when putting on new Complys.

Well, considering what is in your saliva and what's growing in your mouth, yeah it is a bit gross. But who cares? I find ear wax to be way worse.

Well saliva is simply natures lubricant to aid swallowing food. As far as I know there is nothing inherently disgusting with saliva.  But it does come from glands in your mouth and that is a warm moist place that is ideal for bacteria to thrive.  I brush often and chew sugar free gum a lot so I think my mouth, on average, is relatively clean.  But really, bacteria is found on every square millimeter of your body, so to me, it's not worth getting anal about using a little of natures own lube to help install my tips.  I'ts not like I keep rotting fish-heads in my mouth.....I was done with that fad years ago.

The mouth is a deceiving place. It's filled with bacteria even though you would think it's reasonably clean. Anyway, saliva > ear wax any day.

Oh, and just for the record. I use saliva for various applications even though if I find it a bit disgusting when I think of it more thoroughly. It's convenient and well, if you can accept having someone else's saliva in your mouth, you could tolerate  your own on your possessions.

Listening to the UE900s driven from the PB2s and DX50 right now and it's such a great combo. It sorts out the veil in the mids. It sounds better now with the pin holes not covered and not using an adapter
