Get the long ISO version instead of using the default comfort ones.  They are slightly longer and will put a little more distance between the shell and your ears.

Do you use them?

I have both, but I have no comfort issue with the default round ones so I didn't change them out.  However, the T-500s are longer, so it will give you a mm or 2 so the bore doesn't have to be so deep inside your ear.  I ran into a similar problem with my Bowers & Wilkins C5 and this was how I fixed it.

You can wear them down.  It's decently comfortable, but up is definitely better (it might be the memory wire though).  That said, if you do decide to try to wear them down, cut the memory wire off :p

When you wear down, you swap left and right...  The connectors are amadextrius (or however you spell it) though.  So left goes into right, right goes into left...  Again, only when you wear down.

I fixed the uncomfortable, I took the biggest foam tip that came with the ue 900 and now they barely insert into my ears lol, but I don't get any uncomfortable on my ears from the shell of the ue touching them

If you were having comfort issues, try swapping them, it should make them a hell lot more comfortable.

Then you should really get a pack of T500 and have your problem fixed.  Also, when you use the Comply Foam tips, make sure you squeeze the crap out of it, then insert them into your ear and let them expend.  That way you will get a good fit.

I posted about an aftermarket cable, the FiiO RC-SE1, a while back on this thread.
