The TF10 took a few YEARS to drop in price.  ALL IEMs drop in price after a few YEARS.

Not muddy but more veiled sounding than SE535 for sure.  If you tend to listen on the loud sound the UE900 will distort a bit as well which I find bothersome, and this is amped or unamped.  This just doesn't happen with SE535.

Some will disagree but as a whole package I cannot consider UE900 an upgrade over SE535.  Without hesitation I would take SE535 for rock, vocals and jazz.

thanks man..there is no way they should distort at that price that's crazy..so they are junk then..think I'll keep ny 535 s. They don't distort at high volume..they do sound abit fatigiing at high volume with some songs that's because of the forward mids..but they ain't distorting..thank you

Yes, that is one drawback of forward mids and listening loud....fatigue.  That's what made me go to the W3 for so long but then having the W4 has made me begin to appreciate a good midrange again.  Endless search...

The mid fatigue is not as bad at high volume when I use the large olives.. Think I would miss the mids omy 535s if I got rid of them so think they are staying lol. I listened to the Westone 4 s when I bought the shures..I didn't really like them much..they sounded kinda lifeless.. I think I may needed more time with them???? .as now I've been reading alot of reviews about them and now I want them..I love these shurea though..lol will probaly have sellers regret if I sold them lol

Shure SE535 and UE900 are both very good IEMs. I've owned Shure SE530's for over 5 years and wanted to upgrade to something with replaceable cables. Had the UE900s to test extensively for two weeks, but ultimately went with the Shure SE535 LTDs. Its all about preference, but you cant go wrong with either.

Has anyone tried the UE 900 with after market cables? What was the experience with them? I am interested in getting the "cronus" from beat audio.

I wish the UE 900 had the bass of the PFE AUDEO 232

Just add +4 dB with FiiO E17 and there you go.

I am selling mine, btw. I think the UE900 is still the best sounding universal IEM, atm, but unfortunately I listened to a pre-production IEM of a high quality universal product that is completely made in Germany. So now the UE900 is only the second best I know of. Please check the link in my sig if you're interested. Thanks!

The box advertises a newly tuned acoustic network and extended treble or something, i forget lol. But basically it fixes the rolled off treble that alot of people complained about in the regular 535s.

I really dont mind the sound....I meant to say...stupid auto correct lol

The regular SE535 CERTAINLY has more revealing treble than UE900.  Not even a fair fight.  I would rate UE900 treble as "poor."  Thats what rolled off treble sounds like.

Wow I don't find the UE900 as rolled off in the treble at all!
