After having these for over a month now, I can safely say that they by far my favorite IEM. I have IE8, IE80, SE215, HJE900, and have owned or tried the 3.Ai, SE535 (limited and regular), W4, Ety's, GR07, and more. For me, none of them can touch the level of musical enjoyment I get out of these. I love to mix and match depending on my mood, but these UE900 get 80% of my use.
 
Everything is well-balanced, the treble is nice and snappy, yet not harsh, the bass well-extended and punchy, and the soundstage is pretty good... but really I think its the PRaT that gets me! I just wanted to express my happiness with these things here I will not be letting them go anytime soon.
 
On a side note, I was wondering cans compare to these? I've always been interested in the LCD-II... any comparison there at all?

My original UE900s were from the bad batch, RMA'd them for a new pair, which seemed fine in the beginning. I have noticed that after a few days one or both earpieces begin to experience the same issue, with the sound cutting in and out. Removing and reinserting the cable seems to resolve it, but it always comes back.
 
I will probably RMA them again, as they might have given me another bad pair. Having to re-seat the earpieces on the cable once or twice a week isn't a big deal, but I suspect the problem will eventually get worse, and, for $400 + tax, I have zero tolerance for such issues - especially since I have no such issues with my Sleek SA7s, or any of my cheap and crappy IEMs.
 
Logitech really needs to revisit this design, because I am convinced the flaw is in the new connector, and I would like to see a redesigned cable that addresses the issue permanently.
 
Also: the memory plastic on the cable is a joke. Seriously, this has been done well by so many manufacturers, there is no excuse for memory plastic with limited "memory". It utterly fails to remain tightly wound behind my ear for any reasonable length of time.
 
The IEMs themselves are divine, and at less than half the cost of Shure's new reference ridiculousness, a steal.

Get an IEM cleaning tool with a brush (or a tooth brush) and brush off the male and female ends of the connector.

Has anyone tried custom sleeves for these little awesome devils? I can't believe how much fidelity you get out of these after burning in! Not too keen on the foam tips and don't feel like wasting money on comply (I seem to get through a pair in 2 weeks!). ACS don't want to do/can't do sleeves for these, anyone else tried other vendors? What's been your experience? Thanks

For now, I think the best and easiest way to prevent that issue coming back is simply by give contact cleaner in it. It's already effective for some UE900s in my place.

I also suffer from the same issue, i.e., sound cutting out intermittently on the right side.

After swapping to the blue stock cable the issue seemed to be resolved but since I don't like to have the volume thingy on my cable I bought a Fiio RC-SE1 replacement cable. All seemed fine until last week, after about 2 weeks of use, when the losing of sound issue seems to be coming back.

A wide guess of mine is that there is QC issue regarding the tolerance of the connectors and somehow may be the bad ones are grinding against their ‘mates’ and resulting in these intermittent connection issue.

I read somewhere that it's a good idea to use a Poly Phenyl Ether on the connectors to prevent corrosion. I did a little research and discovered the Poly Phenyl Ether is good for use in electronics because it stays in place (so hopefully it won't migrate into the IEM).

Has anyone used a Poly Phenyl Ether on UE900's or other high quality IEM's to prevent or remove corrosion? If so, can you recommend the brand to use? Thanks.

I think DeoxIT contains PPE, that's what others have suggested and I have also used it. I worked for me on the black cable in the beginning, which I believe was due to DeoxIT acting also as a lubricant, unfortunately the lost of sound came back and repeated use of DeoxIT did not solve the problem, at least in my case.

Got a pair of these in trade for my D2000s...have to say, for those who prefer the stage monitor sound a la UM3X/SM3, these definitely don't do it. The treble itself is not as prominent as the TF10 but the overall tonality of the phone is noticeably brighter; they lack the rich mids and full-sounding bass that I love. Great phones from a technical standpoint, and the build is great - love the cable, especially - but not for me.

Can't disagree with this.  These are a brighter headphone in the mds.  They aren't perfect, but are still technically up there.
 
A bit changes with these as you use them though The mids won't get fixed though unless you mod, same goes for the bass really (they both do improve, bass more than the mids).  Treble does gain presence, but still is a little rolled back
