Klipsch Image X10 from Amazon fake?

Been looking around the net to find some info. Amazon has a fulfilment of them here -> Klipsch x10

 

I know they're discontinued and figure that's the reason for the cheap price. Anybody have any safe guards or ways to tell if they're fake? I ordered them and they'll be here wednesday.

Amazon is an authorized Klipsch dealer. Although it's sold by the Y Store, the order is fulfilled by Amazon, so I think you're good to go. Since Amazon fulfills the order, you can always send them back and get a refund if they're not to your liking. I'd say they're real.

That bold part is false AFAIK the only way that an authorized warranty would hold up is if it was sold directly from Amazon, fulfilled by amazon disqualifies that. That second part is most definitely true, and Id add that I got my X10 from amazon last year during their sale and it was most definitely real... didn't make them sound any better to me though biggrin.gif.

I hope the second part is true. Amazon has sold fake sony batteries to me in the past as they were "fulfilled". I haven't found anything at all about fake x10 models, so that alone should be pretty good.

I don't know how the bold was false. Amazon is an authorized dealer. However, I said that it was being sold by the Y Store, but being fulfilled by Amazon. Everything I said was fact. There's no debating that.

Fullfilled by Amazon is NOT the same as direct from Amazon. Your item needs to be directly from amazon in most cases for the warranty to hold up. And I should have worded my previous statement differently I didn't mean to make it sound like a challenge or something my bad.

I agree, but I never said anything about a warranty nor did I say "direct" and "fulfilled" were the same.

I don't think there are any fake X10's?

Have a look on the FS section here, there's always a few going there a little cheaper for anyone else interested.

As far as I know, there hasn't been any fake X10s. Generally speaking it's harder for BA fakes to exist simply due to cost factors since only a few companies in the world supply the BA drivers. Further tuning the BA drivers is different than tuning a dynamic driver. All these costs added up, defeats the purpose of making a fake.
