The 'Ville stuck it to Florida.  Loved seeing that Gator chomp as they were down by 20 with 5 min to go. Charlie Strong showed why Univ. of Tenn. offered him the HC job.  Apparently Louisville matched UT's offer ( >4mill. by report) and Charlie was too comfortable to leave.  Charlie looked like he could be out on the field himself.  That man is bulked up and a fine coach to boot.

He could have gotten 5.5M, but he negotiated poorly.

Yeah, the Gators... I hate them, and all other Div I college teams in Fla, so that was an entertaining loss.

The Ducks and Bulldogs over/under would have been 100

I'm sick of the hype on the guy...but boy did he ever back the talk by walking the walk.
It's not really hype if he's living up to expectation. I don't think he's better than Cam Newton, RGIII, or similar QBs from the past... but he's a freshman. What leaves the press, and all the def coordinators in the SEC, so flabbergasted is, how much better is he going to get with experience? He's kind of a more fearless Steve Young, but with a stronger arm, and more confidence than a seasoned pro.

His only real opponent is himself. Will he self-destruct? Only time will tell.

28-0 at the half, what a beat down, Nick Saban and 40 days to prep is never a good thing for an opponent.  Since Univ. of Tenn. has to compete with Ala. I'm not that happy about this, but you have to respect the process that Saban brings to the game.  By the way maybe Jimmy Haslem will make him an offer he can't refuse in Cleveland.

#42 for Bama is a beast...

The only loss for Ala. was to Texas A&M.  Nobody wants to see a NC rematch, but this is one would have been interesting.

I thought `bama would win, but not really like that. Ouch, how embarrassing. redface.gif

Yeah, I really thought ND would make a better showing. Oh well. At least I won't have to put up with the endless stream of ND gush we get here in Chicagoland!

We had tons of food catered in for our NC party, but it was so bad people were vacating by halftime. So we have an embarrassing amount of stuff left over and dropping off most at the local shelter/food bank this morning.

Roll Damn Tide. I couldn't have picked a better four years to have been a student here.
