Yeah, those are all good points. And it's clear this years field was not crowded with candidates. Still, I'd have loved to have seen a defender win it, being a former defensive end myself (in high school
)There was a scenario in which we (Northwestern) were going to have to play A&M in our Bowl game...VERY glad that didn't happen.
