Now, the sad thing is that I've seen some older people with Beats. The general public think that Bose, and now Monster, are top tiered brands when it comes to headphones.
Marketing...gotta love it. But hey, it's their own ears they are polluting with crappy sound.
It also says a lot about those who have promoted them. I didn't pay much attention to Lady Gaga when she first came out, but by the time Poker Face as a single, I decided to investigate what all the hype was about. I didn't find much to warrant the hype, not to mention I found her disingenuous.
Then I saw that she was promoting Beats headphones in a music video along and in some interview on them or such, said something like "This is how we, the artists, intend for our music to be heard." Guess my initial impression was right after all.
