Tralucent Audio 1Plus2 IEM (Now With 'New' 1Plus2.2!) Impressions Thread - Page 314

xtcm, no idea.

AOL/Gintaras, just your (and my) bad luck...battery went flat. I was going to test the 24/192 to see if it'll work but even 24/96 didn't (which I could have sworn that it did before). Anyway need a battery charge and test tomorrow but I'm kinda busy in the next few days.

Edit: with a little charge I managed to do some quick functionality test.

USB: up to 24/192

Optical: up to 24/96

Therefore it conforms to a standard USB DAC.

Looks cool...but a shame to not use the DAC on the RWAK120S.

I wonder if it is possible to use just the amp section or are you forced to use the DAC section?

i ve also tried the dac amp1
you can switch the dac section off for longer battery if its not needed.

the amp really shines with the dac section. the amp section little better than the t1. i will certainly get thatamp if i got a optical out dap like the aks.

quoted the word from gavin: this combo ( ak100+dac amp1+ 1plus2 ) is what i want the 1 plus 2 to sound like.

HELP: before tomorrow, end of the JH's black friday promo I need to decide which IEM to buy to become my alternative " non Leaking " option to my TH900 that i love:

JH's ROXANE or 1plus2 ? !

(I heard many good things about the 1+2, but I am quite concern with the issue of  non consistent fit / isolation  that some have with  Universal IEMs ?  Some seems to never find the correct TIP or correct FIT ! )

1+2 have phenomenal sound but isolation isnt very good and they are quite clunky..

On the ther hand most ppl have yet to hear the roxanne...

Tough choice but im sure ull br happy with both. Feel like it comes downto sound sig... But even then roxannes got adjustable bass

You've posted this question in several threads.  You aren't going to get a satisfying answer because:

1) You haven't specified what qualities you value and what your preferred sound signature is.

2) No one has yet to actually hear the Roxanne CIEM so people can't in good faith recommend something well over a thousand dollars that they haven't actually heard.

You're gonna have to take a leap of faith and decide based on what you think is better for you.

1+2 doesn't have much isolation, I wouldn't even call it "non-leaking". Actually that's part of 1+2's design to best mimic the soundstage of a full sized open headphone. The soundstage and imaging on 1+2 is so special that I haven't heard in any of my other IEMs/CIEMs.

well, I gave some indication about my taste for sound signature when I mention that I love the sound of my TH900 headphone

RE the fact that no one has yes tested the Roxane I agree with you, but at least I should be able to get answers about my concern " I heard many good things about the 1+2, but I am quite concern with the issue of  non consistent fit / isolation  that some have with  Universal IEMs ?  Some seems to never find the correct TIP or correct FIT ! Ok, couple problems with your logic.

1) You said that you like your th900s, but that didn't necessarily mean that you wanted your IEMs to replicate their sound signature- I love the sound sig of my LCD3s and got my 1+2s because I wanted something that would sound different.  Now that you've clarified that you do want something similar sounding to the th900s, what makes you think that the Roxannes sound like the th900? I haven't seen any comparisons drawn between the two.

As to part two: you'll find that many 1+2 owners don't have a problem getting a good tips/fit, but some do.  Your experience with this is gonna be unique to you.  This leads back to my conclusion that you're gonna have to take a leap of faith and decide based on what you think is better for you.

Anyway, good luck figuring it out- your dilemma is not a bad one to have

Chris, usually it is pointless to compare universals to custom IEMs because custom are made exclusively for you and provide perfect fit and isolation. i believe if main concern of Bmichels is fit and isolation then better to go for custom IEMs.
