Impressions of 1plus2 (Uber) to AK240 (SE) with the modded C4 pro
 
Pretty good imho. Not as Neutral like the modded colorfly c4 but pretty close with a hint of warmth and never gets sibilant. Soundstage is smaller compared to the modded colorfly c4 in height, weight and depth.
 
The AK240 gives great imaging and a wonderful cohesive sound giving me a sense of a whole musical picture.  I like the ak240 gives the 1plus2 (uber) an added body to the sound sig making it very musical.The modded C4 pro gave me a full dissect of the musical picture with its outstanding instrument separation and details albeit can sound abit hot sometimes.
 
IMHO, I prefer the sonics of the Modded C4 Pro But as an overall device I prefer the AK240, with all its features that everyone here already knows about.

I have two terminations...
 
Uber : TRRS 2.5mm balanced
Silver : single-ended
 
 
...and thus not able to recall when Uber was single-ended how it's been improved with balanced.

Yep.  
 
Because I'm extremely happy with my current set up and no 2nd thought.  I might get an adapter later on to try out uber on SE.  
 
Since I spent most of the listening in the office (actually I didn't use my 240/Ref.1 over last weekend, not spending a single minute listening to it at all LOL), uber's limitation on the move is not a problem for me.  When I'm on the road I'll switch to the silver SE.

The other reason that I'm having uber solely to the AK is that I've found this is the "one" and is my destination for my stride for the ultimate.  So, you might find that I stop getting new gadget in the next year or years to come LOL...let's see.

Really? How great are great?? Im using the Ortofon and Heir tips without issue...
 
I mean those spirals are kinda expensive...are they worth it?
