Anak, so if your findings confirmed it would mean Sony new DAP could be better bang for the buck compared to DX50? ;)

and since you have 1p2 i assume this is really interesting to know what you hearing. i loved DX50 idea but reading many posts about all buggy issues i thought there is no rush.

The 'only' person that I know that has even seen it, much less heard it, is AnakChan.

You going to sell your 1plus2 Gintaras? Sell them to fund ZX1? Buy another pair of TF10 for ZX1. :-)

I demoed the 1p2s briefly today, maybe for about 15 mins. I tested them with the silver/gold cable used my iphone 4 and also the 1p2 owner's dx50. Short impressions : in the first few minutes, I was rather unimpressed. They sounded as boring as my R2Ls sometimes and I struggled to understand why these were so highly praised. However, upon further inspection, I realised, if they have the same presentation as my R2Ls, shouldn't I bump up the volume to above normal listening levels on my R2Ls? I did that and, wow. The soundstage is airy and I can clearly distinct between many many instruments in the songs I tested them with. I discovered new instruments like bass guitars and the gentle strum of the guitar in the background. This is what really astounded me, the capability of just 3 drivers to be able to reproduce the whole frequency range without missing any instruments at all and at the same time creating a clear void in between instruments. They also had the characteristic clarity of TWFKs that i admire so much . In short, they were great. However, as a 15 year old overweight boy trying to redirect the focus of my allowance from food to IEMs, I'm trying to convince myself that it's steep price tag is worth it and that I shouldn't go for something like a jh13pro as a cheaper alternative or even as my endgame iem. Ymmv though as not everyone is me haha

I spent about two weeks with them during our Australian tour, (silver/gold cable) there's still some tracks that simply won't/can't sound the same to me since.
Is not hearing those songs the same going to make me reach for my sock and fork over the price tag? Hmm not instantly, but maybe....eventually.

My problem is I like looking at my money in the bank more than spending it, something I'll have to overcome if I ever want to make the purchase.

Gintaras brings up a good point though, may as well just pay once and be happy, because often you'll spend the amount of a 1plus2 unit in a few months here in dribbles, without really obtaining the same sound the Tralucents can reproduce. I'm glad you got to hear them....

Yes definitely haha I would even have called it a mini meet as two owners were there at the same time. One had a black shelled 1p2 and the other had a red shelled 1p2. So I guess that's practically 30-40% of Singapore's 1p2 population

I also agree Gintaras has a point and wish I would have done this right away as well (after I purchased my Tera player few knowledgeable members recommended 1plus2 as perfect IEM for Tera but at that time I was skeptical of the price and decided to try few cheaper alternatives first).

Currently I'm waiting for 1plus2 to be delivered and still using RE-600 (which I do like but there is still a noticeable gap in SQ between it and my Porta Pro's which sound incredible paired with Tera - I'm hoping 1plus2 can close the SQ gap for those situations when open phones are not possible).

So in retrospect if 1plus2 ends up sounding as good as quite a few owners/reviewers have reported I will feel like I should have gone to it right away and be done with it (like I did with Tera player which is without doubt the end game perfect player for me).

I was listening to my 1plus2 on the Tera earlier...as usual match made in heaven. I do agree that the 1plus2 benefits from a little volume crank up. Partly because of the limited isolation, but to me, mostly because of the soundstage and presentation. You have the musicians in front, quite a little far out. So you are always tempted to crank it up.
