seriously, 1600 euros for small metal brick playing only WAV and having no GUI are taboo in my book. of course this is my personal opinion and i do not ask anyone to share it.

i guess the reason for price increase was pure greed. the chap making Tera saw AK120 going for 1400 euros and could not resist matching up his price biggrin.gif i doubt you will hear much better sound out of this 1600 euro unit compared to 840 euro older unit mad.gif

I didn't comment on the Tera Player's (new & previous) price, features or SQ — I only spoke of the size & build quality. My views on the Tera Player are well-known to those who have been following the last two TP threads.

Also, there are water tanks, petrol tanks...  ;)

Also Komkrit's TRRS->SE ViaBlue works really well too for SE amps.

Is this adapter the DIY one ?

Music, since financial markets for steel and metals are not doing so great nowadays i assume Tera selling price must be lower if weighted in pounds or kilos tongue.gif

btw, thanks for your impressions about FA4, never heard about them but it sounds like interesting IEM.

From a few weeks back: http://www.head-fi.org/t/623514/tralucent-audio-1plus2-iem-appreciation-impressions-thread/2880#post_9561403

Gavin's handy work.

Then to convert back to SE for normal amps, AK120, etc: http://www.head-fi.org/t/623514/tralucent-audio-1plus2-iem-appreciation-impressions-thread/3405#post_9664216

Komkrit's handy work.

Well, for my ears, even in single ended, I already prefer the HM-901 with balanced module over the AK120 and definitely over the RWAK100 (but I have not tried RWAK120). So when leveraging balanced on the HM-901 fully with a pair of balanced ear/headphone, I think the gap between the DAPs increases by a larger margin. But I really need more burn in time, and critique listening time to divulge my findings in greater detail.

Devil's advocate? where is Al Pacino when we need him? very_evil_smiley.gif

seriously i am prepared only for one, either AK120 or HM901 or Ibasso DX100 Japan edition. AK100-S was under consideration but i am not sure i want always carry amp. in any case i can always keep my RWAK and send it for S-mod and add AK120 or HM901 as standalone DAP.

Here's the Tralucent Uber terminated by a TRRS 3.5mm plug. The Viablue is the Komkrit TRRS->SE adapter

How it looks when it's plugged in.

The rest of the info I'll post in the HM-901 and Komkrit threads.

Will it be dangerous?  Are there any chance of damaging the 3.5mm socket?  As the combined plug seems a bit long

DX100 pairs ok with 1+2. Technically it's good enough, but someone might wish the sound to be smoother.

I have had the pleasure of listening to the 1plus2 for the past week as part of the tour in Australia. I am  now using the Sony hybrid tips so generously sent to me by H20Fidelity, I am able to obtain a seal quite easily.

All I can say is these are the best IEM's I have tried.....I have the Miracle & Merlin, 1plus2 I feel combines the best out of these 2 to produce a sound that I simply just cannot get enough of...

Did I just say that really?...........Yes it is pure class all the way.

.I would like to thank Gavin for the opportunity to demo. You have a special IEM .

I now want this soooo bad....But it will have to wait due to my pitiful financial state at this moment. ph34r.gif

lol. Glad you were able to get a good seal with them. It's not so bad once you are able to get over that hurdle. I'm actually having fit issues with my CIEM so it can go both ways :(.
