The Rhapsodio R^2 was not on your table though was it?

They were there on my table but quite regularly being used. Yes the 1plus2 does indeed push the boundaries!

Glad you like the review and it helped you make a decision. I can tell you now that if you was considering the Heir 5.0s you made the right decision as they really do not compare at all.

You are bang on there, I was considering the Heir 5.0's, even had them ready to go and I posted that fact on a "full size" thread and then luckily someone intervened and suggested that I look at these. Sounds like I saved myself 600 Bucks, plus shipping...!!

Once again thanks to everyone that contributed to this thread, I spent all day yesterday reading it.

Yeah you may have dodged the bullet on that one. At least in regards to the 8As its a more laid-back signature. Bassy for sure but the bass does not compare at all. Not in terms of quality and control... Very different sound signatures.

If they don't appear soon, should I start a thread to alert them?

Got my order in for a pair yesterday from Dimitri at Musica Acoustics. Looking forward to seeing how they stack up against my lineup.

BTW, does anyone know if my Double Helix cable that fits Westone will fit 1plus2? Looked briefly and did not see.

I do not think you will be disapointed, as long as you do a bit of tip rolling to optimize fit. Other cables would work but I strongly advise against it, first because Tralucent socket plugs are 0.77 instead of 0.78 so you might not be able to go back to Tralucent cable. Secondly, the Tralucent cables are high quality and not stock and synergize perfectly with the 1plus2.

I'm currently using DHC IEM cable with my 1plus2. Confirming that the Westone (0.78mm pins) fits perfectly.

Excellent! Thanks.

How do you feel it works out with the 1p2 over the stock Silver cable?

I've only owned the Silver/Gold cable. I haven't really sat down and spent time to compare the cables back to back. I'm a little worried about loosening the sockets so I've avoided swapping cables too often. I didn't hear a big enough difference to warrant going back to the 1p2 cable. Maybe I'm just not a critical listener.

Overall, ergonomics of the DHC cable is a lot better. Less microphonic, more comfortable without memory wire.
