You should try them. I find them highly detailed but totally engaging. The 1 plus 2 has caught my attention but yor review was an interesting read in that the one thing I like about the k3003 is it's ability to bring the music together but be highly revealing a the same time. I'd love to audition the 1 plus 2 to compare the two.

Turrican I've demoed the AKG3003 for about 3 weeks and while I did like them they were not as good as the 1Plus2 IMO. That was in comparison to the older model which the newer model is also superior to that model. While I enjoyed the AKG3003 they lacked coherency and sounded quite disconnected/disjointed. The bass didn't jive with the treble and mids IMO. That has been an issue with hybrid IEMs until recently. While in comparison the 1Plus2 is seamless in its presentation. You never feel disconnected and things just go together so well. IMO the new model is definitely more detailed and resolving than the AKG3003 yet it is effortless. It just presents that detail so easily and without straining. You are more likely to have a harder time keeping up with the IEM itself than it sounding slow lol. I've never heard and IEM that is so fast (prat).

I don't doubt their ability to reveal detail, but are they engaging? Btw I don't agree about the lack of coherence with the akg's, I find quite the opposite. I've read some reviews on here about the lack of coherency between the drivers but I just dont hear that at all. I would love to get my hands on to compare but don't think thats an option for me, unfortunately.

As engaging as it gets lol. We agree to disagree on the coherency. But I'm not the only one who feels that way as well :). To be honest I even feel the 334 is better than the AKG3003. So in that if I was looking for a universal IEM and never tried the 1Plus2 I'd for sure gone for the 334 over the AKG3003. Even with the few hours I spent with Saraguie I enjoyed them enough to know they were a better IEM as well over the 3003 (IMO that is) :).

Afterall though audio is extremely personal but for me, I may not necessarily love this IEM as much as some of the rest of you.

Now that I've completed this, I'm undecided if I'm to keep or sell my 1Plus2.

Or just gift it to someone for his coming birthdaytongue.gif

Nice review.... well done....

Pretty cool that so many people are buying/trying 1Plus2, but at the same time I don't feel special anymore...

Buy another one or two and you will be special/unique again, but take note this might cause a fatal infection of envy among otherswink.gif

To extend into silly territory, how about fashioning a DIY custom tip to channel dual 1P2 stems into each ear..

Whew, finally a way to use that extra Headstage Arrow 4G headphone-out (that was going to waste) and be envied by others (or considered crazy—either or).

I agree to the fact that the 334 is better than the K3003. Honestly after the 334 the 3003 felt "boring".

The 3003s are most definitely more on the neutral side than the 334. The 334 are a fun sounding IEM in comparison to them :). The 3003s are also brighter so I wouldn't be able to listen to them very loud (not that I do that anyways ;). But then again the 334 also has treble spikes so I wouldn't be able to listen to that loud either lol. :P
