I may save up more to get the Statements but nothing's sure yet. I listened to the Burson Soloist side by side with the Mjolnir the other day with Gungnir as the source, and wow, I really don't prefer the relaxed, slow sound of the Soloist...

 

I really want to try the Magni/Modi and Apex Glacier though.

The mjolnir ISNT the statement amp? Thought it was haha. I absolutely loved it with the lcd3s, wow can't wait to hear just how much better it can really get!

Ok well I had gathered they were on the brighter side of the spectrum. I still can't see them as being boring though lol. At least from the comments I gathered from Saraguie he finds them to have more treble energy than his 334s. The 334s were just so pushing it for me due to the peak in the treble. Not a deal breaker but they are tad spicy for me. Taking it even further would be a no go for me on that front ;).

Yeah I'm quite excited. I also mysteriously got my RCA to pure silver cable replacement today. I was blown away of the detail through this LOD.... I mean some serious separation/imaging. Treble detail is through the roof. Just as mid detail is... Guessing RCA is clearly superior to the 3.5 on the Triad. That's for sure...

 

I think that is a good idea that Schiit is keeping quite until they are ready to release the products for sure. Just in case there are delays & having to deal with crybabies... rolleyes.gif

A manufacturer announces a possible release date everyone jumps on the hype train and when there's problems and the release is delayed a few short weeks people come out of the woodwork acting like it's the end of the world. Personally I'd prefer to just wait the extra days/weeks and know I'm getting a product with the bugs worked out but hey that's just me, what do I know.

 

I wonder what Schiit has up their sleeve? They seem to be putting out stuff that has been a splash with almost everyone whose bought into their product line. If their going for a top tier statement product I can't help but wonder it they'll go flat out no compromise no matter what as far as audio is concerned. Will they go tubes? Will they go solid state? Will they go balanced? will they go high bred and throw in a smathering of everything? To many questions and not enough answers.

That's the smarter way of doing things - waiting for things to issues to get ironed out... Especially for something that is considered state of the art or introducing new concepts mixed in with the old. Btw wasn't the world meant to end yesterday (or today for the guys on the other side of the world)

I'd rather not... After the JH3A debacle, I'm sick of it. (Lost $200 and received nothing.)

 

I know Schiit's Statements are going to be their flagship for a long time, and they're going all out on it, but they're most likely going to be around $1500ish range since Schiit always has affordable gear, and they don't price their gear extremely high like other companies. I think they said the Statement amp is going to be a hybrid design with tubes. I think they also said it's going to be balanced, but with SE out as well unlike the Mjolnir. They also said the size is going to be about the Mjolnir in length, but 1.5 times as wide ish. They're thinking early next year but have not given us an official estimate since they're not doing that anymore. We will see what changes until then... Hopefully I'll have enough saved up by then.
