I'm having a hard time analyzing music with the 1Plus2. Every time I put them on, I seem to just get into the music and not care about anything else. :P Corny but it's the truth.

I actually find it hard to forget about the music with the 1Plus2. Its so detailed and engaging it's an actual distraction if I'm trying to study lol. The 8A is much more suited for "set it and forget it." Then again, to be quite frank, if I'm just interested in an IEM for background music common sense would be to use a much cheaper alternative. That is if you don't intend on listening to the music ;).

Not so sure on that. But if you can indeed order from Amazon then get these below. These are the exact tips I ordered from amazon and they work wonders on the 1Plus2 IMO (most balanced/neutral sounding).

Those remind me of the large ultimate ear tips. Still not as good as the V-moda bass IMO but they do get the job done :). Let me know what you think once you get them. It's so funny how much different tips can impact sound.

Hello guys,

 

After just a couple days of 1plus2, I thought I would give my initial impressions.

 

I am listening out of DX100>Alo silver mini to mini >T1 amp > Tralucent Silver / gold cables with lossless flac in all genres. I just want to start with a couple of remarks. First of all it is essential to get the right tips and the right fit. I might still get better tips, but the fit is perfect now. Besides, quality of the source is important. Poorly mastered tracks or poor mp3 quality will not be received well by these babies. Finally for my introduction, I want to say that even if these babies are quite expensive, for this price you get: awesome universals + cables which are miles above others brands' stock cables + truly dedicated service and advice from Gavin at Tralucent, who has a genuine passion for audio.

 

This being said, these IEMs are truly impressive. The SQ is in my opinion in the range of the Miracles (at least), even though the sound signature is very different. They are very detailed, yet musical. The details are very clear but stay where they should be, i.e. are not thrown in your face. The mids are slightly more engaging than the mids of the Miracles, but I need more time to tell you more in that area. To me one of the key selling points is bass. Very physical and raw bass power, yet controlled, textured and detailed. The bass on certain tracks is giving me a chocolate like physical pleasure.

 

The presentation is very different from that of the Miracles. With the 1plus2, sound comes from the front, whereas with the Miracles it is more surrounding you. The Miracles are very airy, so each element seems more isolated, which is sometimes very pleasant pleasant but not always natural sounding. The 1plus2 have a more cohesive and "together" sound. Each element can be distinctly perceived, but they all merge in a beautiful way.

 

Keep in mind that I still need to burn in cables and 1plus2, and try other tips. Also remember that I am not truly comparing with the Miracles as I sent them back for repair, but just comparing from memory. Therefore all these impressions may evolve / change.

 

However, these IEMS will stay with me for sure and certainly be my go to universals as I do not see how other universals could overperform them technically and / or pleasure wise to my ears (even the 5.0,that I ordered), even if I would love to hear even better iems if that is possible :)

I'm glad you like them Mimou :). They will continue to get better with burn in (both the IEM itself and through the cable settling in). Funny how we all perceive sound so differently. Initially I was not impressed at all to be honest :). But was blown away with some burn in :P.
