Leaving Dac on all the time

Like the title says, would it be a bad idea to leave my DAC on all the time? Reason being is that I find that it sounds a little better after it has warmed up for an hour or so. Would I be shortening it's life significantly?

Nope. Unless it's something like the MiniMax, then maybe. But doubt it.

It's actually the on/off cycles that lower the MTBF because they stress the components. Except if it gets very hot, there is no problem to leave it on permanently. I've never turned off mine ever since I bought it +6 months ago because I can't be hassled to wait for the damn thing to warm up either tongue.gif
