Sure did, although I don't think they got as much attention as the 009 and 007s. I personally think they're a a bit underrated in the stax line up - I like them as much as the 007s in my set up. Although I'm not sure if they scale as well as a 007 with a better amp.

How'd transistor amp do compared to the other ones btw wink.gif ?

It obviously doesn't hold a candle next to the T2 tongue.gif, and I didn't want to unplug Wink's KGSS, so I can't say how the two compare, which is another win for my wallet.

I enjoyed them a lot!
I've never been completely sold on any of the lambda I've heard, but these were pretty cool.

Awesome pix and awesome meet. Got a question. Is this just a meet with members own products or were retailers/businesses there too promoting their products? I thought I saw some signage on some tables.

I think John noticed the same thing.

On the first listen I thought it was just the top end which was what I didn't like (I found it rather piercing, similar to how I react to the he60).

But on subsequent trials throughout the evening I felt there was also something funky down low too.

Not being the best word smith I guess the best I can conjure is: meh.

Pretty upsetting because I was so excited to hear them redface.gif

Glad to hear I'm not alone and there are indeed some serious bass issues there.  Now we'll just have to wait for Stax to listen to reason and switch back to the 1.35um mylar and have a better set than the 007Mk1.

Love the handwritten note too.  tongue.gif

LOL well after people reportedly bitched and moaned to Kevin that they burnt their hands on his t2 knob I though something had to be done redface.gif

It most definitely isn't you.

John, Caution and I all had very similar take away impressions.

Just because I poop on the HE60 at every opportunity tongue_smile.gif

Just because you tell it like it is from your perspective.

Honesty is paramount as it lets you know what someone sees/feels - even if that is different from your own discernment.

It's interesting that most people who tried my gear remarked that they liked the K1000's the most.

Out of my Dynamic/Ortho cans my favourite is still the HD800.

Ok! Time for some of my famously crap-house photography.
