Looking for earphones or IEMs, open-spacious, clear signature

I'm looking for a pair of over-the-ear headphones or custom IEMs ( since I have fit issues) that have a clear, spacious, open presentation. I don't like a muddy or narrow presentation. 

My setup will be out of my Sony X series Walkman or my laptop primarily so no extra amp. Source material will be 320 kbps LAME Mp3. These will need to be a little forgiving as I do not listen to lossless, and my source material may sometimes be pop-music with mediocre mastering. 


Any thoughts? For customs I'm looking to stay within the US since refitting will be easier. I had issues mailing customs back to foreign manufacturers before.
