Any Abyss impressions?

Someone give me Cavalli impressions.

Then again, I should be borrowing some of that stuff soon...but I really want to hear what people think of the LG.

They sounded really good especially with the Liquid Fire amp. The shape of them is really odd but they told me the final versions shape could be completely different and was undecided

so the WA-7 has a built in DAC?

I fell in love with the Liquid fire! I'm amazed at it's ability to drive various headphones with ease. This seemed like a very powerfull headphone amp and I loved the looks. The Liquid Glass also sounded wonderfull and I loved the tube placement but I still prefer the cosmetics of the liquid fire. Just a personal preference of mine.

This was my first RMAF. I attended The Show in Newport beach back in June. I was very impressed with CANJAM and the show in general. I brought my 24 year old son who was never really exposed to high end audio and he was blown away. I was fortunate to have a nice talk with Alex Cavalli for quite some time and he was extremely accomidating to let my son try various types of music on the STAX SR-009. With his amplifier and these headphones, the sound was really amazing. Alex is a very nice guy. Lots of nice people in the CANJAM room.

Ok.  I'm making calculations in my head trying to figure out exactly how I'll buy myself the Liquid Glass.  It's made for the compulsive tube roller; it's like Cavalli was reading my mind when he designed this thing. It can use just about any 6 or 12 volt dual triode (octal or nine-pin). I tried it with the HD800's, the HE-6's, and the Mr Speakers Mad Dogs (also while running four or five different tubes).  I probably enjoyed it more with the HD800 and the Mad Dogs, but I tended to prefer those to the HE-6 through most of the amps I heard.  With the NOS RCA 6SN7's, it was quite possibly the best sounding setup at the entire show (for my tastes of course).  With current production Tung-Sol 12AU7s, it had a wonderful clarity.  I think it's best for me to say that I listened to just about everything in the room at CanJam, and I absolutely fell in love with the Liquid Glass.

Really good to hear people are getting excited about it. I should get to hear one next week and I'm looking forward to it.

Heard from a couple it's their favorite HD800 amp, even over the BA or LF.

Great impressions jazzerdave. Wish I could have been there too.  What fun it must have been to be able to play with the LG!
