V-MODA M-100 & VTF-100 Appreciation Thread: Images, Impressions, Reviews. - Page 38

I preordered and no boom-mic. It comes with faders and extra plates. It had options for customization also. I think the boom-mic is the only missing piece. I went stealth and skipped any customizations so not completely sure on all the options from first preorder are the same.

Ah. Finally found the pre-order page for M100!

For the custom shields, is there template for me to use?

Or do I just use the one for LP2?

Aw man that actually sucks! Well, looks like the boom mic might be one of those desperate purchase pieces.

Use the LP2 template, it's the same size.

high praise indeed!

Urgh. Need to request permission for using a logo.

Hopefully when the permission finally comes, the pre-orders ain't overloaded so much that V-moda have to end it.

All of those who have posted full reviews, please PM me with link(s) to the post/page/site that contains your review. That way I can compile them this thread's first post and the closed portable battle.

I was all set to pull the trigger on a set of Beyer DT 880, but all of the positive reviews here have me considering a pre-order of the M100, even though it's a little more than my budget.  Can anyone who has heard both these and the DT 880/770 offer a comparison?  It seems these are at least competently driven without an amp, which gives them an advantage over the 880.

Will be used very heavily for darker electronic music-- EBM/synth, with some goth rock in the mix.  Thanks.

From what I've been reading, most probably more forward and cleaner mids and better highs (quality - definition).

I thought Beyer headphones in general have a more treble-happy sound signature with forward mids (at least from their Tesla driver headphones). I could be wrong though, I've only listened to the DT880's at Guitar Center's headphone rack.

So can we close this thread now and make this one even bigger and bad-ass'er?

I'd love to, but I don't think the OP of the original thread is around to change it. Plus, that one is so large, finding into in it is going to rather hard.

I would love to have a single thread though.
