Looks like it's 24/192 on the iPod touch 5G. It's getting better by the day biggrin.gif

Wow, even better then the promised 24/96!?!?!?

I am still happy with the 24/48 (16/48?)out of the box for idevices.
Most of my music is 16/41, even on HD Tracks all my favorites seem to be 16/41.
I believe the spice to be more in the 24 bits than the Hz.

I am just having fun playing around and seeing what the Hifi-m8 an CCK can do.
Yes, wow Touch at 24/96 and 24/192.jeepers!

But hey, a promise is a promise!(24/96). smily_headphones1.gif

I'm looking for a portable player to go with the M8 LX other than the astell&kern's DAP. Something that could send digital signal to the M8 LX DAC. Please recommend.

Most Android based phones will do the trick, through USB.  Also, there's a new batch of Android based Sony Walkman DAPs that should all also work.  I'm watching to see if Sony releases any of those in the US myself.  The ZX1 is 128gb, and I would like my next DAP to be at least that size in capacity.

Just want to share a photo from my phone, so please bear with quality :o

How well does your Hifi-M8 drive your Sennheiser HD800? I saw the HD800 on your avatar biggrin.gif
post #4437 of 5043

I would say they have very decent quality for HD800 (or T1 if that matter). I even like it more than direct HD800 to Dacmini. The M8 sounds smoother and more linear sounding compare to Dacmini.

Also, I really like to adjust bass to ++ when drive HD800 and T1, it's just a very smooth yet full bodied bump in very low region.

Thanks for the info TheMiddleSky, I'm actually contemplating on getting the Sennheiser HD600 or maybe the BeyerDynamic DT880 Premium 600 Ohm. Btw the Etymotic ER4S paired with the Hifi-M8 (+1 notch bass) sounds really good too.

My HD650s pair amazingly well with my M8, so the HD600 should do equally as well....

Aside from extremely sensitive IEMs, what doesn't a stock M8 pair extremely well with?
