Francisk -

I have the ER-4pt also and got the ACS custom tips for about 100 which are really confortable.

BTW - The tips come with lubrication as well. ;-)

Hah!  A kinder, gentler ear rape…  I have that stuff for my ceims.  I do use it most of the time, but it just feels… wrong at first.

There is no need, as Sysconcept.ca has all that info on file as they have done the cables before.  All you need is to place the order and tell them your setup in the comments.  But if you REALLY want the info, here are the two setup they have done (I use the first setup):

M8-AK120_3.4cm_c2c_32deg.jpg - is 32 degrees 3.4cm Center-to-Center as the units are centered.

M8-AK120_3.75cm_c2c_28deg.jpg - is 28 degrees 3.75cm Center-to-Center as the AK120 is shifted to the left.

Mind if I post this info to the wiki?

agree. mine is 2.2mm. it is thin and bendable, should be careful when travel. but it's well fit when the charger plugged in (sorry, newbie, no pic).

I have to say I love how this tightens up and smooths the IE800s (especially the treble) - all settings set to the middle (LCD2s, all to the right)...

Wonder if we should start a thread for best settings for different headphones / IEMs...

There's an impressions thread already, plus this one.  We should just add to one or the other,,,,

Here's one I'd like to add. I used the middle gain setting (no changes for the rest of the setting) when I'm using 2 IEMs on the Hifi-M8 with my wife. In my case it's the Phonak PFE232 & Fischer Audio DBA02-MkII which has about the same sound signature. I noticed a little distortion when it's set to the lowest gain setting.

That just indicates M8 is not pushing out enough power driving both headphones at the same time on lowest gain settings

Yes headwhacker, you're absolutely correct. Even though my PFE232 and DBA02 MkII are quite efficient by itself, it's good to increase the power output a notch up when we're driving 2 phones simultaneously. That way we can avoid unnecessary under power distortion.

It's been awhile guys! Have been really busy with school work and stuff, so haven't been able to read this thread for awhile. Great to see everything's coming along so well!

So, I have a question for people who use iPod Touch 5Gs with their HiFi M8s: what cable do you use, and how's it working for you so far?

I am looking to get one of those, and have been looking for good, short cables to pair it with. So far, the V-MODA Tuono and the Venturecraft right angled one have caught my eye...

I have written about them in the lightning cable thread in the cable section.
Go with Venturecraft.
I have both.
