Try the Centrance cable again later. If it is faulty Centrance will find a way to make it right, dont worry.

Enjoy.

Some batches of the Centrance cable were faulty. That's what happened to me. I just contacted my retailer and arranged for a replacement.

Anyone tried the Centrance Hifi-M8

30pin Vs lightning?

I am considering upgrading from touch4G to 5G, also for more RAM and a faster processor for that extra smoothness. :)

I use an iPod Classic with 30-pin connector, and both the latest-gen iPod Touch and iPhone 5S (both with Lightning). I've had no problems, and switch between them regularly.

I haven't found super-short Lightning cables to be a dime-a-dozen, and am currently using a four-inch Amazon Basics Lightning cable. It's a good length for a portable stack, and it's only $12.99.

I'm using the M8 with a Touch 5G iOS7 and a $12 "certified" Lightning cable from Monoprice.  All works perfectly and sounds great.

wow! It's great lots of people are getting their Hifi-M8's! I've had mine for a couple of months now, and I'm enjoying it more and more everyday.

The only bad thing is I haven't used the optical input(LX) as much as I thought I would, now I'm kinda thinking about the i device version... Anybody wanna trade!?

Someone loaned me an LX for a week, and I wrote some quick thoughts here (mostly for those that are planning to use it with IEMs 90% of the time, and the occasional full-size).

It's not my favorite unit out there, as I think it sounds a bit bland, more so than even CEntrance's own DACPort (which I think very highly of). However, it has immense driving capability, and its versatility is basically unmatched.
