fostex hp-p1 vs fiio e17 (amp section only)

I have read that the fostex hp-p1's amp cannot drive high end cans that well but is the amp still better than the much cheaper fiio e17?

High end cans or high impedance cans? I use one with my PS500's and it's great.

The HP-P1 has an output impedance of 10Ω (rather high, which is bad). The FiiO E17 has a near 0Ω impedance (which is excellent). Can't say anything about output power though.

This question no longer concerns me because I already gave my iPod classic to my little brother and went with the ibasso dx100 smily_headphones1.gif
