After burning in the Headphile Black silvers between my source and preamp for a couple of weeks, I tried something new today. But first, some background. I wanted to experiment (in my speaker system) with my tube preamps effects on the sound. Being a tube preamp, this made the mid-bass and mid -range smoother than directly from my source to my main amp. It was infineitely more neignbour friendly in this form. For a lark I put the Black silvers between the source and the amp and.... ....I was picking up pieces of my jaw from the floor. The bass on this mutha is so fine. The only problem is that the thumping low end means that my neighbours are calling their friendly neighbourhood hit-man to take me out. This is from speakers with a -3dB mark at 45Hz, not from a 16Hz sub. This is incredible. And I though the combo cables were good. Can't wait for the XRS cables to return.
P.S. If you hear about any murders in the bronx (or maybe the murder of Indian headphone geek) can you please let the cops know it was my neighbours!
