So the ridiculous part is that a good thing or bad thing, so far?

But is it on a view of a really, really ugly scene?

i'm still waiting for the fog to clear.

edit: actually more like i'm waiting for the sun to get out of my eyes. these cables are friggin bright for now. (and i'm using k501s at the moment instead of my trusty rs-1s)

An early case of June gloom all the way up in Davis? How strange.

Please keep posted as they settle down. I'm in the market and can use every review possible.

ah screw it, i'll post some initial impressions. remember i plugged these in maybe an hour ago so things may change.

versus radio shack fusion, these are just bright. i want to put on some oakleys bright. detail is superb however, as is a noticable lack of grain and of course an extended top end. bass is not quite as present as i think it could be and i do detect a touch of sibilance with these not evident with the fusions.

right now i'm back to rs-1 listening through a mg head otl-h with nos sylvania 5751 and 6bq5s to a philips 963sa. i've been listening to some radiohead, liz phair, the donnie darko soundtrack and strung out on ok computer.

but yeah, let's let these burn in some more before too much critical listening.

RS cables are substandard imo.

goose, my blacksilvers were a bit bright and bass-shy at first, so you could just be hearing the hack of break-in.

Hmm, he was referring to the RS Fusion. I heard this is a very good one under $50 (it's actually $27 at the local RS store).

I love it! what a great way to describe the effects of a good cable upgrade. I may steal that from you, goose...

The sound in my rig was so thick and syrupy before that the Blacksilvers were really like a breath of fresh air. Even with my SR-325s they don't seem excessively bright.
