Umm....I don't have any other tubes, this amp takes 4 tubes, and I've been moving tube 1 to where tube 2 is and moving tube 2 to where tube 1 was. Are you telling me to get like a new tube and put it where the old one was? Like replace the tubes? If so, I will need to order new ones. Or are you suggesting me to only have one tube in at a time? IDK about the glow thing, but when I turn the lights off and leave the amp on all the tubes glow, some brighter than the others.

Wait I had my headphones backwards. Gosh I'm such a idiot. The left channel still isn't working. I will purchase new tubes, but if that doesn't solve my problem than I will return this amp to Gloomfire.

So you switched the big tubes as well and the left side is still the dead one?

Sorry I may not have been clear enough. Did you switch the right big tube for the left big tube?

Yes sir, I put the right big tube where the left big tube was and then I put the left big tube where the right big tube was. It still has problems though. I just put a order on Schiit's website for some Valhalla tubes, if those don't fix the issue then I am afraid I will have to message the seller and tell him I need to return it because it's broken.

Well if you've switched the tube positions and issues don't switch channels, it's probably not the tubes. I would cancel the order and try to contact Schiit directly. They have fantastic customer service.

I emailed Jason about our problem yesterday night, but Jason responded this morning. He asked me to move the tubes around, just you guys did. Well I emailed Jason back, that I did in fact move the tubes and it did not fix the problem.

If you have already switched the little tubes with each other AND the big tubes AND the rca inputs, and the same channel is still not playing, then it doesn´t look too good. Are there any gain switches present on the Valhalla? Maybe one of them has ended up in the wrong position.. that´s a long shot though
. If you open up the cabinet, you could also inspect the board for loose connections. But I don´t know if that will affect the warranty? Better keep your hands off that, if you don´t know what you are doing.

Ok, there is no gain switch, just a giant volume knob. I emailed Schiit, but am waiting for a response. After all, it is Sunday.

Cross-quoting from the FS listing:

Hey I received the Valhalla about a hour ago, and everything seems to work fine. The post office beat up the box, but the bubble wrap and your awesome packaging (I'm serious) protected everything. The tubes are fine, the box is great and I really appreciate those AV cables you included, they are nice and thick.
All in all I'll be leaving you positive feedback right now! I hope you leave me good feedback too :).
I blame the post office; the padding protected the amp cosmetically, but something internal was likely jarred loose or broken when the box took the hit.
Lesson to all Head-fiers: always clearly mark your shipments as fragile!

Pretty simple amp. If you've switch the tubes from left to right, and the bad channel does not switch? Maybe a bad volume pot or brake at the rca jacks, or something in the power supply. I've got a new set of Schiit tubes I'd ship your way for $27.

Hello everyone, I just recently purchased a Schiit Valhalla on the FS forums a few days ago and noticed only the right side of my headphone works when I use the Valhalla. The headphone is a brand new Sennheiser HD650, and the same problem happens when I hook up my Sony MDR-V6's to the Valhalla. If I run the headphones straight to my Fiio DAC or straight to the PC/Macbook Pro I don't have any problems. I suspect the Valhalla is the problem. I have already emailed the seller but want to ask if anyone knows a fix to this issue! I do have a soldering iron and possess basic soldering skills.
Thank you,
Thomas
