Best rig for rock ($1000)

Hi guys, I want the best rig possible for rok, metal, grunge, alternative, etc. Heavy genres.
My budget is around $1000 for headphones and the amp.

Most would recommend Grado's tbh.

I would recommend Alessandro since the Grado's highs fatigue me but if you enjoy sparkly highs than definitely Grado.

For under $1000 you could easily get a used Beyerdynamic T1 though

If you're buying new, get the HE-500 and spend the remaining $300 or so for decent quality amp that will power them.  The Schiit Asgard or many quality Chinese mad solid state amps, just to some of the options, will do the trick.

most people would recommend Grado's, but I don't like them for rock

I recommend the Beyerdynamic DT880 (250ohm or 600ohm) or the Denon D2000 (a bit bassy).

I listen to a lot of rock and metal and can recommend D 7000 or used T1

RS1 + RA1 (or RA1 CMOY for cheaper alternative)

 

the rest of the money goes to the dac/source/food/clothing
