Either or.. At least to get an idea where they are with filling the preorders.. I placed my order on the 13th of August, with a few updates we might be able to piece together where the rest of us stand.

I got an email from Brannan from Heir Audio because I never gave a shipping address. He just sent it tonight and said the orders are going out.

well  i have the original ASG-1 1.1 and the 4.Ai is a superior phone even though i was one of the only real lovers of the original ASG. However as for what was meant to have changed when they made it a 1.2 revision is quite a lot and these to IEMS are completely different.

Do you want bass and just bass and a signature were bass dominates and the soundstage is huge? ASG-1

Do you want a neutral sound were the frequencies all compliment each other and everything has just the right amount and details and clarity is just epic. Also has some beautiful imaging! Then go for the 4.Ai.

Two completely different phones so you should really think about what your looking for in a IEM.

I have to correct you here sonny. The bass absolutely does not dominate on the 1.2. It's the most capable bass I've heard, and it's far from bloated or obtrusive. If anything, the mids are almost up there in quantity with the bass, and the only thing lacking is the treble. Vocal clarity is also up there with the best. This is all without EQ.

Just clearing things up

It's not bloated, I do sense a larger veil with the ASG over the W4 (which is known to have a slight veil).  It is a very capable bass though, but unfortuntely, it is the focus of the spectrum.  I got a hint of vocal clarity, with next to no vocal energy (sweetness) with them.  I had a lot of lushness with the 1.2; I mean a lot of lushness.  This is what really made it an entirely relaxed IEM for me.

This has to be the weirdest form on UPS tracking that Heir uses, tracking number starts with a K and shows no updates just departure on the 5th.

That means it's on a UPS truck (most likely a semi).  Mine did this too.  It went directly from California (if I remember correctly) to the center where it would be delivered from.

Swimsonny have you noticed any change with burn in?

Nice pics.

I done the standard 100 hours of burn in for the review. I think I must be pushing some silly hours if use with them now so in total I would give 500 hours. I use them at home and on the go mostly now unless going some were "unsafe" for them.

With dynamics I can sometimes tell huge differences in the first 100-200 hours but with these nothing really major. Slightly better bass texture and depth and clearer sound perhaps but that could be me adjusting and in my head. However burning them in yourself will do no harm.

I do find however that they like to warm up so they sound better after 10 mins playing. Either in my ear or just plugged into the DAP so not in my head.

The Heir has less mid presence being neutral but theyAries so much more detailed and true. The treble is also more detailed better extended and
More present and the bass also is more in quantity extension and technically better being faster and punchier.
Imagery and soundstage is all on Heirs side and the over speed of the heirs is better than the Shure.

Since you have experience with the 530s, I was actually wondering if you could answer a question I had. I'm basically in the middle of deciding between these Heir and the Shure 535 LTD. Price point they are similar so was curious if you've either had experience with the LTD, or even just the normal 535s, and what your opinion is between the two. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

And I love the comparisons you did at the end of your review, extremely helpful.
