Sorry mate, i have only heard the 530 like you. However the 535 is not meant to be too dissimilar to the 530 and the LTD is meant to have better treble extension. Thats all i have read and i have not tried either so do not take my word for it so sorry i can n0t help.

I will hopefully adding to the comparison lists with new IEMs i get!

I done the standard 100 hours of burn in for the review. I think I must be pushing some silly hours if use with them now so in total I would give 500 hours. I use them at home and on the go mostly now unless going some were "unsafe" for them.
With dynamics I can sometimes tell huge differences in the first 100-200 hours but with these nothing really major. Slightly better bass texture and depth and clearer sound perhaps but that could be me adjusting and in my head. However burning them in yourself will do no harm.
I do find however that they like to warm up so they sound better after 10 mins playing. Either in my ear or just plugged into the DAP so not in my head.

Thanks Swimsonny, I'm already hearing a big change IMO after a few hours. I did not like what I heard when I first put them on which is what prompted that post. They are much better now :D

There are lots of BAs that burn in. It's not only drivers either, it's fit and tips as well as brain ;)

I try burning my brain in for at least 800 hours before listening to any new headphones.

Well my 4.Ai's have finally arrived.

Straight out of the box I really enjoy them, the bass sounds just right to me and the clarity is superb.

I think that now I have these and my UE IERM I can finally consider selling off my other IEMs,. which will make my wife extremely happy :-)

Even after a first few listens, I prefer them to my Westone 4's and SE 535's (not the Limited Edition), Grado GR10, Monster Miles Davis tribute and trumpet, JVC FXT90, Sony XBA3 and 4

Many thanks to everyone who has commented on these IEM's and convinced me that they could have the sound signature that I like, and also to Heir for producing such a lovely universal IEM.

Glad you're enjoying them. I think more than a few people would be very interested to hear your thoughts on the similarities and differences between the IERM and the 4.Ai.

+1 on all of that!

Sorry for the delay on this but here are my thoughts on the similarities and differences between the 4.Ai and the UERM.

I guess first off I should clarify a few things;

              I love music, but I'm a closet detail freak

              I'm no expert when it comes to reviews or technical comparisons

              These are my opinions, and opinions are like ears - everyone has them

              I won't take offense if my opinions differ from someone else's

Similarities;

both sets of IEMS have outstanding resolution, with both I have heard things in recordings that I cant hear with other IEM's and headphones.

And this is with listening to mp3's at 320 kbs, AAC 256 and CD's - they both resolve better than any IEMS/Headphones that I have had.  I do of course realise that I haven't heard the "ultimate top end" equipment.

Both of them can be easily driven by a player without the need for an amplifier, although both can benefit from it,  but for work and travelling I find neither really need an amp.

Neither of them are bass monsters,  but personally I find both have more than adequate bass, but there are differences.

Soundstage is somewhat similar, not huge but more than adequate and very 3D (if that makes sense)

Differences;

The UERM are exactly what they say they are, they are very balanced and aimed for studio use (but that suits me)

The 4.Ai's are not lacking in detail resolution, but they are certainly not as flat as the UERM's.

With the 4.Ai both the treble and bass are more accentuated than the UERM's, though I wouldn't go so far as to say the sound is overly v-shaped, more "musical" for want of a better phrase.

One thing I would say is that the bass with the 4.Ai seems to be far more textured and the sub-bass seems far more present.

Obviously my UERM's are custom and a very good fit,  the 4.Ai's do have a good fit, but to me they do seem very tip dependant to get a great sound, I'm currently using the double flanges from my IE8's.

This isnt a criticism of the tips provided,  I just have ears that don't suit the provided tips.

Excuse the cliche,  but at the end of the day I like both sets of IEM's.  The UERM's are great if I'm in detail freak mood, whereas the 4.Ai's are great for casual listening - but still very detailed and musical.

Awesome impressions and impressed that they fare so well against UE's flagship custom. I added that post to the first post in my appreciation thread for the 4.Ai. Lovely work. So i am guessing you will be keeping them?

Hi

Steve from Audiophiliac says that this CIEM is bright.Is it brighter than the Shure se535? cause im looking for an iem that will replace my 535

The 535 is far from bright an I don't think the 4.Ai is either but the Heir does have more treble presence and a lot more extension than the 535. Al huge upgrade overall though and generally better.

After having spent 6 days with the 4A.i I feel ready to share some impressions. Those have been described as neutral but I also find them to have a strong treble presence.

My main concerns was that those would be too lean in the bass but I found it to be  the most impressive feature of this IEM, tight, punchy and detailed with great extension (and I am a former basshead wink.gif) It is hard not to be impressed by how revealing and detailed this iem is, although I found the treble sparkle slightly overdone for my taste. On few tracks I detected some glare or "splashiness". The prominent treble also make them sound very open with a wide soundstage but depht and imaging isn't as good as the PFE232.

The PFE323 and Heir couldn't be more different and quickly switching between those is quite traumatic biggrin.gif. The PFE has more bass and is more punchy but is quite dark in comparison. The PFE is more laid-back and "natural" somehow while the Heir reclaim your attention and just impress more.

The 4A.i is very close to perfect but despite trying numerous tips they always become uncomfortable after few hours frown.gif I believe if the sound tube was a couple of mm longer it would be fine as it is the same size as the FX700 and have no issues with those.
