DIY Charity Cable Sale (misc. cables, RCA, XLR, mini, power, etc.)
Will Ship To: US
In September I'm going to be participating in a charity bicycle ride that benefits an organization called Northeast Passage (www.nepassage.org). NEP provides therapeutic recreational opportunities to the disabled including golf, water skiing, hockey, rugby, etc. They work with kids, adults including service disabled vets all in an attempt to provide a higher quality of life for those with physical challenges. I've volunteered at this event (and others) for several years and now I'm finally taking the plunge and riding instead of watching. Over the course of two days I'll be riding 100 miles through northern NH that includes about 5000 feet of climbing.
So if you're able I'd very much appreciate a little support and I'm even willing to provide some incentive. I've listed several cable "for sale" below most of which were built by me. Here's the catch though, you don't pay me for the cable, you make a donation direct to the charity through the link below to active.com. Bonus - NEP is a registered 501(c)(3) no-profit and the donation is tax deductible. In the event that someone simply can't make that work I will accept a paypal payment (which I'll forward as a donation) but this negates the tax credit. I'll be covering the cost of shipping for each item so that 100% of the donated amount goes directly to the non-profit. I've listed a suggested donation amount for each item, but ultimately I'd just like to raise a bit more $$ so feel free to shoot me an offer (but be reasonable). In every case I think the donation amount is well below fair market value. I've included links to pictures of each item.
IMPORTANT NOTE - prior to making a donation (assuming you don't want to just make a straight donation, which is of course fine and very much appreciated) please PM me with the name under which you'll be making the donation and the item that you would like in return. I can't refund donations so if you don't follow this simple rule you're the one at risk.

Item #1 - 2M custom power cable - built by me using high quality 14awg shielded power cable and terminated with standard 3-prong mains and IEC connectors. Suggested donation - $50.
Item #2 - Cardas 12" right angle mini-mini - this was a staple in my portable rig for years. It's well used, but well taken care of. Suggested donation - $15 (retail is $25).
Item #3 - DIY power cable special - this is an extremely high quality cable built by a friend of mine. It is approximately 1M in length and uses a standard 3-prong connector on one end and a Neutrik powercon at the other. Included is the chassis mount jack for the powercon connection. Suggested donation - make an offer.
Item #4 - 15" DIY right angle to straight mini-mini - built by me using Mil-spec silver plated copper wire and terminated with Neutrik connectors. Suggested donation $20.
Item #5 - 24" RCA cable - built by me using 24ga UPOCC copper wire and braided with 4 individual wires terminated with Neutrik RCA plugs. Suggested donation $50.
Item #6 - 1.5M RCA cables - built by me using extremely rare enameled UPOCC wire that is not available for commercial sale and terminated with Vampire RCAs. These were my favorite RCA cables and lovingly called "the shoelaces" for their amazing flexibility. Each cable consists of a twisted pair of wires sleeved in soft nylon multifilament (much nicer than techflex). Suggested donation $75.
Item #7 - 2M XLR cables - built by me using mil-spec spc wire and terminated with color coded Neutrik XLRs. Suggested donation $50.
Thanks in advance to those willing to support in any way that they can.
