Not that bad at all if you want  bass and listen to rap, BUT.. for the same price or even  less, buy the new JVC Fx101.. huge bass, better quality of bass than the Fx1x, better all around iem.

The FX1X are a great pair of IEM headphones if your on a budget. The build quality is remarkable, the cord is thick and durable, it won't break so easily. The headphones do have lots of bass quantity that other IEM's cant provide in the similar price range. So yes i would suggest these to you if your a basshead and listen to lots of rap music with subwoofer frequencies.
