CT570 Skipping

Hello!
Based on the posts here, I picked up a Panasonic CT570 to use with a pair of Grado SR-80's. Sounds very good to me! However, with the anti-skip off, the CT is very susceptible to shock of any sort. Is this normal with the CT570?
Thanks!

With shock protection off, it shouldn't skip as long as it's not moving. However, even the pressure of pressing a button on the lid will probably make it skip. Just put it into 10 sec antishock mode and you don't have to worry about it.

Thanks for the reply. You are right about needing only the press of a button to cause skipping. Seemed overly sensative to me, but all is well!
Thanks,
Matthew

I always keep mine on 10 second anti-shock because there's supposedly no quality loss and it saves batteries according to the manual.
