I was cheated by another headfier - contact with admin?

Dear All,

 

I was cheated by one of the headfiers.

As far as I know - I am not the only one :-(

 

How to contact the admin of head-fi.org ?

I'm fairly certain you can just send a private message to one of the admins, such as Jude. That said, I've never been in the unpleasant position of reporting such behavior from another member, so I'm not completely sure.

When you go to their profile, there is a "send a private message" link on the left side.

 

You could also start a thread exposing the situation if you are afraid others have been damaged, and you can immediately make paypal/credit card claims as they apply.

 

Edit - saw the feedback you left - you may still get your package, as the seller could just be a cheap idiot.

Where do you live?
It took my Grados 7 weeks to reach a guy in the UK and I live in Canada.

The seller and myself are living in Europe (within EC) so according to mail post the parcel should reach me within max 7 days. Actually, nearly 4 weeks passed and the parcel did not reach me. 

The worst is that fellow sent it as unregistered mail - simply incredible :-(

There is no any proof that item was really sent.

 

Unless, paid by bank wire not by paypal :-(

No offense, but sending via bank wire to an individual you don't personally know and can't get to is not a good idea. Paypal for all their purported flaws is actually a much better proposition for private transactions between individuals than anything that existed before. 

 

I hope you find a positive resolution to your problem.

Easy - you're right. I will never send anybody any cash by bank wire - only by paypal.

I will never trade for this reason. I freak out a bit when I buy too and only deal with people that have feedback.

The feedback of the seller was not the question - nearly 20 positive and no single negative.

An unfortunate situation, but before you continue to point a finger at the seller give consideration to the possibility the package was lost/destroyed in the mail. It does happen and seems a more likely explanation than a Head-Fi seller with 20+ rating is cheating you.

Another possibility.
OP, next time you should make sure they send a tracking number even if you have to pay a little extra.
