Just to clarify, are you already using the Magnus cable with the universals, or the stock cable?

Yeh, they do change a little bit as your ears adjust to the sound, that will likely be making the difference your hearing!

How are they fitting into your guys ears? Plush like they do with me or sticking out a bit like they did with my mates?

my ears a really small. the back of these rub against the back of my earlobe when i move my jaw...for like talking or w/e (not like i can really hear what the person is saying back...)

insertion is a lot deeper than i expected and its a nice tight fit. very comfortable asides from it touching the back of my earlobe but that's not a problem as i can still have these on for hours. had them for about 3 hours yesterday without any discomfort.

They stick out a little bit for me too! i thought maybe it was because my ears are small and my ear canal doesnt go as deep as other. glad its not just me.

definitely give these a thumbs up for comfort. really no issue even for people with smaller years.

Yes, i thought you could comment on the 4.Ais comfort just like us since they use the same shell. However, HOW THE HELL DO THEY TOUCH THE BACK OF YOUR EARLOBE haha? Are you wearing them back to front? I do not quite get what your trying to say? Maybe a picture would help? The earlobe is the bottom dangly part of your ear, maybe you mean something else.

After putting some hours on the 3.Ai and 4.Ai I just had to do a silly experiment... 4Ai in my left ear, 3.Ai in the right. One of the many benefits of removable cables! This showed that they clearly come from the same family but have different presentations. Both are detailed but the 4.Ai serves you those details on a silver platter where you will need to listen for them with the 3.Ai. Elton John and REM made me prefer the 4.Ai but as soon as I changed to something a bit more bass heavy (Tron:Reconfigured playing right now) the 3.Ai was the clear winner. Rock is more of a tie, depending on your mood and preferences. Want to feel the impact from the drums? 3.Ai. Want to hear every single crisp detail of a guitar solo? 4.Ai. Although you'll be able to hear it on the 3.Ai as well, you just need to listen for it.

Both are very, very good. Don't think of them as one being better than the other, just of them as one having +10 to detail retrieval and the other having +10 to bass. Take your pick, both are great.

Oh, and Westone, if you are reading this: Good fcuking luck. That goes for you too, Shure.

I hope your basis of all of this post was done from A/Bing them separately and not with one in each ear. The whole magic of a sound signature is the complete thing and like that you would not be able to ear the presentation and imagery for example as well as the imbalance of frequencies in each ear would just be wrong. Anyway other than that, nice impressions.

However, you have said that the bass is better on the 3 and the details on the 4 so clearly the 4 is overall a quicker earphone. What about the mids, highs, soundstage, and the best thing about the 4 IMO, the imagery, how does the 3 compare. Keep up the good impressions.
