Guys, I'm not a Guttenberg fan either, but let's keep the bashing to a minimum, shall we? This is a 4.Ai thread, and we should keep on topic.

My assumption is that he gets paid by the article. CNET will review his stuff very briefly before publishing, and only for grammatical errors and stuff like that. Some websites pay writes by a publishing cycle; they need to churn out a certain number of articles per month for a fixed rate. Anyways, that's all I'll say on that matter. If you guys read Guttenberg's brief, he was a theater projectionist and was involved with home theater stuff. His expertise (and likely his passion) isn't with headphones or earphones. CNET lets him review the cool stuff simply because he seems to have the hi-fi credentials. He's not really like a Tyll, who built his career with headphones.

Well, it's not really an issue with the seal; it's more that his ear canals are so long that the deepest fit for him is like a shallow fit for us. Shallow fits inherently do any number (and not limited to) of these things: decrease perceived extension, flattens/widens soundstage, thins out voices, decreases bass impact.

well, i just got my 4.ai's. Man, are these gorgeous, and they sound great too!

I waited to have them shipped on the 7th instead of the 1st because i was moving into residence at university, so i needed to change my address.

so, what you mean is they made your earphone by approx 2 weeks ,and due to the change of your address, they shipped your earphone on 7th instead f 1st, right?

so, that means, base on your case, they generally spend 2 -3 weeks to make one and another one week for shippment.

am i right?

partially, I *don't* think they make them on a per-order basis, i am under the impression that they have a stock pile of the iem's, and just mail them out thus preventing supply issues. I may be wrong though. Have yours shipped yet? If not, then they may have run out of supply and need to make more iem's to catch up with the demand.

someone in HA sent me an email about they will ship each earphone base on the queue. so, i assume they cannot send all of them in one day, which means, they may do not have enough pieces for everyone.  and i also have read some post in here about the 4ai , then, i assume they make 4ai by orders, maybe.
