Heir Audio 4.Ai - Appreciation/Impression/Review Thread - Page 115

I'm using my old UE single flange XXS that came with my 500s on my ASG-1s :p  Stock blue tips on the 3.Ai though (probably will repeat for the 4.Ai).  Same housing => same tip should still be the best seal.

awesome, people seem to say it has like a split in the middle, sounds interesting. I have looked at some pictures and cant seem to see one that shows the middle, i dont care for lighting etc....

EDIT:

Hmm that is quite nice. I have never seen a tip like that. I am surprised i only just picked up on this. And you like it sound wise more or just seal wise.

It provides a stronger seal...  The bar in the center is actually for you to put a physical filter there to adjust the sound :p  That way there is a filter between the nozzle and tip so sound filters as it exits.  According to Heir Audio anyway ;)

has anyone put this filter thing to the test? What does wizard suggest works as a good filter etc?

I don't think anyone has.  Heir Audio doesn't offer filters (not that I'm aware of).  It's a unique idea though :)

No they do not, maybe in the future, i do like the sound of the idea, if it could ever be put into practise, thats another thing!

I really can't justify spending nearly $40 on tips. Shipping is expensive, yikes. Hopefully the MEE tips will be good, but the small reds are ok (bit small, poor seal, but still sound great)

The seal was too strong with the red ones for me.  It was only one ear though (tried mixing and matching too).  Don't know why though :p

We understand that, the idea is, we give the customer at the time of the purchase a chance to buy extra tips.... that way shipping is not an issue
