In the case of audio, it's the complete opposite. No matter how much gear you have, you always end up with more.

I'm so grateful for this: http://www.head-fi.org/f/6550/headphones-for-sale-trade

I've read every single review and impression in this thread, and then some. I know your opinion is that they're not in the same league even with EQ; but I like to have multiple perspectives. Also, someone mentioned that they know others who preferred the B2 to the 4.ai; and someone mentioned that an EQ'd DBA-02 is almost identical to the 4.ai. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case, as many people have preferred cheaper and supposedly inferior headphones to ones supposedly superior and much more expensive. Thanks for your impressions btw. They're very informative.

Tigon, I was not being offensive about it, just helping you find it if you had missed it.

If you block the pinhole and get a 100ohm adapter you can turn the 900 into a neutral beast. Rin talks about it on his blog here: http://rinchoi.blogspot.com/2012/10/ultimate-ears-part3-in-depth-analysis.html?m=0

If you try the mod it would be interesting to compare under those conditions.

Yeh I have already thought about this and will do a bit after I have got to know them completely and done the stock comparison. I read the blog and knew after listening I will have to do it. They come with an airplane attenuator which will probably add 75 ohm I like what I got with my super fi3s, should be good enough.

Just FYI, the pinhole should naturally block with use. Your secretions are enough to block it...

Eww. tongue_smile.gif I know that BA's don't suffer as much from high Q but I don't like resistors in line as bandaids. Personal bias.
