What is the advantage of the purple tips with the rubber bridge inside them? More bass? I can't really tell.

if i remember, someone mentioned this before. I think they said it was to help the tip retain its shape if someone chooses to make it a hybrid tip? Someone correct me if im wrong on this.

The blue tips are softer than the red

But beyond that, the blue tips have a little devider inside the tip.  What that "can" be used for if one chooses, is to stuff a self made filter/damper into the tip, and the devider will retain the damper.

We don't advise doeing this, but it could be done if one wanted.

how did you find the IEM's?

whats the turnaround time for these if you order from the US?  theyre not shipped from china, are they?

and secondly, any opinions of how these compare to the UE900s?

i want either these or the UE900s, but since i cant return these if i dont like them, its making my decision difficult.

i loved the sound of my TF10s and want something comparable or better.

If you love the TF's sound signature mb the 3.ai will suits you better.

He's actually right. I took a quick listen to my dad's 3.Ai, and the sound signature is pretty similar to the TF10.

One thing I'm curious about- the shipping rates. I understand that the $30 shipping rate for the custom IEM's since they need to come in from China, but shouldn't the 3.Ai and 4.Ai be a bit lower since they're just coming out of California? It doesn't really matter in my case, since I've already ordered, but I was wondering that while ordering.

Yeah the shipping cost is pretty outrageous....I could ship a package that size for 10 bucks via USPS priority.

pity you don't live in UK you'd have these cost to contend with... IEM cost, plus shipping, plus Import-Duty, plus VAT (20%), plus handling charge.

think yourself very lucky to be getting them for same price as they are in China... anyhow you know the cost when ordering so why make a 'song & dance' out of it, seems most are pretty happy to get a uniquely designed & great sounding headphone.

Damn, somebody took that way too personally. No singing and dancing here, just a genuine observation. Take a chill pill big guy.

4Ai or UE900... I have only a day left to decide between these two and can't seem to find many comparisons between them. From where I live, I get the 4Ais at about 20 dollars cheaper than the UE900. Can someone convince me why I should get the 4Ai over the UE900, it would be greatly appreciated biggrin.gif
