The DAC has had its PSU fully recapped with Panasonic FRs.
Dexa Ultra wideband regulators for the DAC chips instead of the 7x05 regulators. (200$ from PartConnexion)
LME49710 for filter section
THS 4031 Ceramic DIP package opamps for the I/V stage (100$ upgrade)
OPA604 for the servo stage
Decoupling and bypass caps added accordingly. Panasonic FRs and TKD NPO ceramics.
Schaffner filtered IEC inlet has replaced the cheap chinese IEC inlet.
Note: The modifications were all done by me. The DAC is fully updated now.
Cosmetic condition is 8/10. I received the DAC with two of the feet attached with double sided sticky tape which is how it will ship. This is to my mind a non-issue, and the solution works but worth noting nonetheless. I will be including a set of isolation cones that was graciously sent to me by Steve at Q-Audio with the DAC. They are high end isolation cones.
Enough has been said about this DAC and I am not sure if i am making the right decision letting it go or not. This DAC has been the culmination of my search for a tonally pure, truly dynamic and fairly detailed DAC. I am not convinced i will find a replacement for it, however my priorities as ever are changing and with a heavy heart this is up for sale.
Asking what i have invested in the DAC. It has been my primary source for over a year now. This is a rare piece of gear so here's your chance to buy it.
I know what this is worth and they just don't pop up every other day like most audio gear.
