I'm only interested in these two models ATH m50 and HFI 580 that will be better for trance?

I've searched old threads and read up about the t50rp, but almost everything focused on technical ortho stuff or mod guides

As far as the headphones themselves, the sound signature, what makes them so unique and gives them such a cult following?

yeah they were new in box from a us seller that I know is legit otherwise staying away from ebay is normally a good idea on electronics.  It's a birthday present to me so I won't know til next week.

OP !! what are waiting for ?! just get the 880\990s and fiio e11 and be done with it, all the headphones you listed are no match for the beyers ( don't know about sure and akg ) in sound quality especially when you upgrade you gear later. i'd suggest that you go with 990 pro just for 169$ on amazon here, you can check the glowing reviews too. And IF you could stretch your budget to a used D2000+fiio e6 you'll get the same sound quality as the beyer if not better with insane deep bass subwoofer like, it's up to you.

fiio e6 not powerful enough for the d2000's

actually yes, but the sound will improve with more voltage from amps like the m-stage and such. Just so you know i own the D5k not the D2k but they're too similar from what i read on head-fi. i can tell that you're concerned about the bass a lot, with fiio e6+d2000 the bass will rattle your skull, but of course you can turn the bass boost off and enjoy the music the right way. And keep in mind that you will have to get an amp and dac in the future to fully appreciate your headphones.

Can anyone tell me what is better for trance ATH M50 or HFI 580 other models I'm not interested in And that HFI will have a greater Soundstaging than cal.sorry for my english

I think they would both do well with trance -

the 580's probably have a slightly larger soundstage.

the devon D2k's are to expensive for me, there $315 new on amazon, while the Dt 880's are $230 new..

but there is a pair of D2k's for $215 in "acceptable" condition but the seller has 0% positive feedback... not gonnu risk it..
