Teflon Stax Jacks from HeadAmp - now available

I decided to start creating a line of DIY components instead of just finished amplifiers...gotta be diverse and everything, and it's nice to contribute to other people's projects as well.

The first part is a teflon jack for Stax electrostatic headphones, available in both pro-bias and normal-bias.

See more here: Teflon Stax Headphone Jack from HeadAmp - now available, our first part

HeadAmp Audio Electronics - home of the Pico and Gilmore amps.  Now with Audeze, Fostex, HiFiMAN, Sennheiser, and STAX.

great looking sockets Justin! line of DIY parts hey? how about some high quality chassis? i'm sure there would be a number of us willing to pay properly for a short run of good quality and somewhat unique CNC project cases. minimal connector holes eg. powercon, recessed XLR and volume knob with matching decent quality knob etc. but not too many holes or you narrow its usefulness

I've thought about it but i think it would be too difficult to make a size that everyone wants, since it would not be possible to offer more than a couple models.

I think offering some high quality knobs that you typically only see on commercial gear is more likely something I would do.  6mm shaft diameter covers nearly all popular attenuators.

I'm sure people are tired of these by now:

what about offering the services on a GB basis? so for example a GB project is born of up to 25-50 people, someone in the group has CAD skill or at least can provide a step or iges file from maya or autocad. then you would only need to come up with the tool paths etc and setup. then you know they are all sold, they would be prepaid and you wouldnt need to hold stock. sure there are companies already doing cheap project cases, but they all look the same and are in general pretty boring

otherwise indeed volume knobs are a great idea. I got some solid titanium ones made to my design about 18 months ago and have been using those. small ones are 25mm diameter, large ones are 45mm

Justin's Stax connectors are fantastic. The rounded edges are nice touch as well.
